Video: Newt Gingrich Goes After Debate Moderator John Harris for Biased Questioning
NewsBusters ^

Posted on 09/08/2011 9:01:59 AM PDT by RatherBiased.com

For reasons that are still inexplicable, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library agreed to partner up with NBC News, parent organization of the uber-left-wing network MSNBC to televise tonight's Republican presidential debate. While NBC representative Brian Williams had more than his share of sneering biased questions, it was Williams's co-moderator, Politico editor John F. Harris who laid on the snark in his attempts to bait and attack the candidates.

Such unbalanced questioning is par-for-the-course for Republicans competing at the national level. More often than not, they take it in stride. Tonight, though, Newt Gingrich was having none of it as he went full-on after Harris's attempts to insert Gingrich into a non-existent debate about an individual mandate to purchase insurance at the national level that Republicans simply are not having. Video and transcript follow.

Guess they have to go to show they are able to face the adversary.

Before they all go in, they should ALL PACT together and agree to SLAM the moderators if necessary, change the line of questioning, ignore the moderator and ask a questions to one of their opponants instead.

TOTALLY ignore the Biased Media moderators, what the hell are they going to do about it? Stop the show?, cut the Mike's?.

The thought of ALL of them ignoring the Biased questions, would be a sight to behold.

The candidates debate wasn’t with each other.

It was with MSNBC.

As Rush said- Perry lost the Cop Killer vote last night after Brian Williams attack.

GOP IS DUMB to spend ANY time with MSM.

I like Newt because he is able to well articulate a lot of what I am feeling.

I’d like to see our candidates armed with a list of the soft-ball questions asked of then-candidate Obama, like “Do you prefer boxers or briefs?” or “What is your favorite breakfast food?”

THEN, when a media twit asks a GOP candidate a “gotcha” question, that candidate could answer:

“Your question is just too EASY. So instead of answering that question, I’ll answer one of the really HARD questions you asked President Obama before his election:

My favorite breakfast food is Cheerios.”

I think Newt may have secured a position as Press Securtary in a future Republican Administration.

I doubt he'd take the job but OMG that would be something to see!

Come on, folks! Ron Reagan works for msnbc and Nancy Reagan likes Chris Matthews.

Ronald Reagan may have come to his senses and seen the evil of liberalism to embrace conservatism, but his son and daughter with Nancy did not agree with their Father. Also, Nancy was no conservative herself.

While your feelings tell you one thing, your brain should be telling you the opposite when it comes to Rino Newty Newt.

Maybe Newt would make a good Press Secretary for the next GOP Administration.

why is fox partnering with google for the next debate?

people will submit the questions to google.

Obamab trolls will be able to see the questions and report them.

Obama admin will be able to see the questions, seed the questions.

and see the “views” of the questions and who was viewing.

the stupid party lets the evil party and the msm

outmaneuver them?

Look: There is no one here at FR qualified to meet Gingrich in debate. There are only drooling junkyard dogs who survive by gnawing on old bones and chewing on rotten flesh. But the sanctimonious twits will be here shortly to spew their drivel on the thread.

No they won’t. I can carry a reasoned argument with the best of them. I welcome it.
