Seeking to boost a slumping economy along with his hopes for re-election, President Obama unveiled his $450 billion jobs plan Thursday night in a highly-anticipated speech to a joint session of Congress.
The American Jobs Act contains a blend of infrastructure spending, tax relief, unemployment assistance and other aid. All the proposals are paid for with spending cuts although the president isnt expected to detail them until next week.
There should be nothing controversial about this piece of legislation, Obama said in excerpts released by the White House ahead of his speech. Everything in here is the kind of proposal thats been supported by both Democrats and Republicans including many who sit here tonight."

Idiot keeps pushing the debt envelope daily. America is tired of it.
Øbama's presidency: SHOVEL-READY!
ABC News radio just interviewed 2 “Americans” who told me that this plan is great and that the President deserves to have the Republicans support it totally and pass it immediately.
That this broad cross-section of knowledged “Americans” was comprised of two unemployed black men didn’t seem to faze the interviewer at all.
Seems legit (sarc)
Why are there massive numbers of fools always surrounding Oblama?
400 nillion this morning, now 450 billion.

“Washington (Sep 8)
House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement after President Obamas address to a joint session of Congress:
American families and small businesses are hurting, and they are looking for the White House and Congress to seek common ground and work together to help get our economy back on track. Republicans have laid out a blueprint for economic growth and job creation our Plan for Americas Job Creators that focuses on one thing: removing government barriers to private-sector job growth.
The proposals the President outlined tonight merit consideration. We hope he gives serious consideration to our ideas as well. Its my hope that we can work together to end the uncertainty facing families and small businesses, and create a better environment for long-term economic growth and private-sector job creation.”
Actually that would have made a nice on-air response.
wasn’t it just $300B only a couple days ago?
i’m guessing this isn’t a Conservative plan.........
First it was 300 Billion, suddenly he throws in another 150 to make it 450.

LMAO! Love Dave Chapelle....there’s always truth in the best humor.
It falls under DNC Strategy # 10.247.111, where plan is layed out Sept. 2011 and repeated economic failure is blamed on Republicans because they stopped all reasonable progressive measures then, to be repeated in Oct. 2012.
They told us a year or so ago he was going to push a second stimulus bill. I thought, no freaking way...But I guess I was wrong.
Come on , Bernanke can print $450 Billion with one arm tied behind his back....while skipping and whistling.
The Super committee hasn’t got the new debt limit plan in place yet, so we can spend spend spend!
Exactly! Skinnycrack-headed liar.
