CNN and the Tea Party Express, along with more than 100 local tea party groups from every state across the country, will team up Monday, September 12 to present a first-of-its-kind debate from the site of the 2012 Republican National Convention: Tampa, Florida. Eight Republican presidential contenders will face questions from moderator and lead political anchor Wolf Blitzer during the two-hour event, which will air live on CNN from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. from the Florida State Fairgrounds. The debate will focus on a wide-range of topics, including the role, size and scope of government, with a specific emphasis on issue number one to tea party members and all Americans: the economy.

This should settle the question as to whether the “Tea Party Express” is a fraud, with a resounding “Yes!”
I would argue you left out a bunch of others that also have no chance, but they are in the debate...to not get anybody upset I will not mention his/her names
Could be interesting...it’s about time to round out the field so let’s see who’s in or not.
We were invited yet cannot make it. I hope one of our members will be there. We are supposed to be listed as a co sponsor. I will have to check see.
“CNN wants just ONE night of good ratings plus they want to fry Perry but Newt and Perry wont let them.”
Yes - I watched that clip twice more on Newt’s chastisement of the media, and of all the candidates up there, Perry was nodding in agreement throughout.
I wish every one of them on that stage would’ve applauded in unison to send those moderators (and all their media pals) a message.
“That said, it might be fun to watch McCotter in a debate.”
He’d be super. If they’d start letting him debate, he’d soon gain the name recognition that he’s lacking now, which in turn would boost his poll rankings so he could be in future debates.
The guy’s great and he’s getting shafted.
I also hate how Rick Santorum was largely snubbed.
That’s just stupid.
Blitzer is an evil, lying, leftist ferret.
Dumb, dumb, dumb!
These are Turkey Shoots not debates.
Only fair I guess, since mostly Turkeys will be participating.
"I think candidates will come and go, just as they have. I will be watching as it develops, but I don't know that I will be one of those candidates."
That was the most convincing thing I've heard that she won't be running. However, she still left the door open at the very end. So its still anyone's guess.
Palin? Hardly. The participants are the same eight as Wednesday’s debate: Bachmann, Cain, Gingrich, Huntsman, Paul, Perry, Romney & Santorum.
