Obama and the lunatic left: President and his followers intend to end America’s greatness
The Washington Times ^ | September 8, 2011 | Jeffrey T. Kuhner

President Obama is politically insane. This is the real meaning of his speech Thursday night in front of a joint session of Congress. Albert Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result. By that definition, Mr. Obama is a lunatic leftist.

Much of his speech called for more of the same - government activism; massive spending on infrastructure, bridges and roads; extending the payroll tax cut; and more public aid to states and municipalities. In short, he seeks to perpetuate the dismal policies of Obamanomics. He is a reckless ideologue masquerading as a pragmatist.

Mr. Obama’s presidency has been dominated by one seminal reality - failure. His nearly $1 trillion stimulus; record budget deficits; unprecedented levels of public spending; the government bailouts of the auto, insurance, housing and banking sectors; billions heaped on “green jobs”; Obamacare; Dodd-Frank to reform Wall Street, and huge outlays for food stamps and unemployment benefits - all have failed to restore the economy.

In fact, they have done the opposite. Unemployment is 9.1 percent. Growth is anemic. In August, no new net jobs - none - were created. Consumer confidence is low. Inflation is rising. The value of the dollar plummets. Burdensome regulations are strangling business. America is being buried under a mountain of debt. For the first time in history, its credit rating has been downgraded. The country is not only on the verge of national bankruptcy, but of economic collapse....

I left my last job voluntarily when I moved in with my daughter in another state. I assumed I could find another job without any problem since I had worked for 40 years. It has been over a year and I have applied for quite a few jobs. Never even gotten one call. I have never had a problem finding a job and I am 59. If Obama can force companies to hire blacks, why can’t he force them to hire older workers? I want minority protection!

I have a friend who needs to hire one worker at somewhat low pay (warehouse type work) and she told me it’s sad to see who is applying. Mostly men in their 50’s who she would have never seen looking for that type of work a few years back. She normally hired people in their early 20’s.

She’s just sorry she only has room for one.

I see more and more older workers at fast food restaurants and grocery stores. I like to think they enjoy their jobs and are only working there for something to do, but in reality - probably not.

And inflate the currency such that it steals the wealth of the population’s savings and investments,
and does so in a way that not one man in a million knows what is happening.

There are laws to protect older workers - but it's up to you to prove there was discrimination.
Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967
Older Workers Benefit Protection Act of 1990

I know there are laws but it is very difficult to prove age discrimination. That’s why employers must be FORCED to hire older workers - just like they are with blacks! /s

Excellent summary. Although there’s no indication that Zero is of even average intelligence, anyone with enough synapses firing to maintain heartbeat and respiration could follow the cause and effect of his policies, after three years. He and his operators know exactly what they’re doing.

Oblahblah has 14 more months to wreak havoc on the economy. Expect him to use it wisely. There is much left to destroy.

many employers DO NOT like veterans, especially the female and metrosexual human resources types. They seem to think you'll go postal from a flashback or attack their Asian customers or something. LOL

LOL!

Thank you for your service, btw. :)

One of the comments to the article (zke007) said:

“There is a lot more to this union action than meets the eye.

The Longview port is also a coal terminal. Right now, the coal is on hold for a permit paperwork violation.

While the Longview coal terminal is on hold, SSA, the company that is protesting the grain shipments from Longview, are pushing hard for a terminal of their own in Whatcom County, in a special economic zone that will have little to no local oversight. That terminal will be a “Gateway” terminal. In case you aren't familiar with Gateways, they are part of the UN Agenda 21 Wildlands project. They are also what Patty Murray's bill, S.942 are intended to fund. You know, the multi-modal infrastructure projects that Obama keeps saying that we need? Anyway, the only real profit on coal is in the terminals and SSA wants it all.

SSA is fully owned by CARRIX, the largest cargo handling company in the world. Goldman Sachs is the majority stockholder of CARRIX. The rail company that will carry the cargo to the Gateway terminal is BNSF, Warren Buffet's company and the coal is owned by Peabody, from the Powder River Basin. It's sub-bituminous coal supposedly headed to China, except that China says that no one should count on them for any long term purchase contracts.

The pressure to build this terminal has come straight from the White House. Richard Trumka, as the former head of the United Mine Workers, wants this badly, but the project may be running into some problems.

Oh, and did I mention that the husband of the WA State Senator, Patty Murray, has been a life time employee of SSA?

There is so much more to this story than what I have written here. It has torn the Democrat party in two, the unions vs the environmentalists and has caused problems for the GOP, who were tight with the Building and Industry people and were supporting a Democrat project for the alleged jobs.
Oh, there's more. As I mentioned, the pressure for the state officials to facilitate this Gateway Terminal came straight from the White House and it is widely thought that in exchange for her co-operation, the outgoing Democrat Governor, Christine Gregoire will be offered a seat on the NLRB.

I already mentioned that WA State Senator, Patty Murray's, husband is a lifetime employee of SSA, but I forgot to mention that the other Senator, Maria Cantwell, who was a founding member of the Apollo Alliance and big supporter of the Sierra Club, worked to facilitate the approval of a receiving terminal to be built in China and operated by SSA.

....and that is really just an introduction to what has been happening on the left coast, while Obama’s EPA tried to shut down all the coal fired power plants on the East Coast. I am so glad that SSA got arrogant and stepped over the line so that the whole country could get a look at what is happening on the West Coast.”

Can anyone substantiate these claims? Seems incredible, like some sort of movie plot (starring Matt Damon, of course.)
