Skip to comments. Why does Mitch McConnell or John Boehner still have jobs?
Posted on 09/09/2011 11:17:37 AM PDT by cashless
I am working off of a cell phone so I don't have a link but according to the WSJ's Washington wire, the debt ceiling was raised another $500 Billion by the Senate under that super deluxe debt ceiling package last month. Seems that the stupid provision about having a vote of disagreement included by Harry Reid's good friend Mitch McConnell has been used against McConnell already. So the question has to asked, "Why do Mitch McConnell and John Boehner still have jobs? Despite what they or the LSM says, the deal antomatically give Obamalamadingdong the upper hand on the till of the US Treasury.
Their terms are not up yet.
“Obamalamadingdong” on a cell phone? I’m impressed.
The Grand Old Potty needs to be flushed. I think most of us know that.
“Obamalamadingdong” on a cell phone? Wow.
Hmmm, perhaps because there are rules and procedures in place rather than having the world run on your whims?
Just a guess, though.
Because they has better grammar?
This was a provision of the debt deal, and part of the agreement to increase the debt. This is not an additional debt limit increase. I don’t like the way they structured this deal any more than most of us, but this is just a procedural vote. If BOTH houses voted together, they could have stopped additional tranches of the agreed to increase. Clearly the Senate is not going to do that under a Reid majority.
Starve the beast.
For generations, they've controlled us through our wallets. Isn't it time WE controlled THEM through our wallets instead?
We can survive without big governments money, but big government can't survive without ours.
Stop spending - buy used, repair, trade, and legally avoid anything with an attached tax like a plague. You're going to be needing those savings yourself no matter how you look at it. It's better you have your cash than them.
no the question should be when do we plan to sh*tcan the whole dem congress and pres O. then we will turn our eyes to the republican revolution.
More of their contituents voted for them than voted for their opponents...and perhaps they use proper grammar and syntax.
That’s what I was going to say!
Although, truth be told, they will probably both be re-elected the next time they run.
“Me fail English? That’s unpossible.”
I don’t know. Why does they?
I’d like to see Obama get an antomatical right in the lamadingdong
Their dynamic, charismatic personalities have endeared them with the voters. /s
So despite the poor syntax or grammar (sorry, I'm just a dumb, conservative redneck who has learned to never start another thread), the question should be asked.
Their constituents did the same thing.
Ignore the sneers, the sneering creeps did not answer your question.
The ones who did answer your perfectly good question taught me a lot. Interesting facts.
thanks for asking this.
Yeah, what’s up with the spelling nanny creeps around here, the poster did say he was on his phone. Some posters have a bit too much time?
Disagree with your vanity. Everybody knew that passing the bill meant that the debt limit would go up by the first trillion dollars.
It was broken into two parts so the republicans could vote against the second debt increase, and it would be entirely the democrat’s fault.
Expect the house to vote down the debt increase on a party-line vote within the next few days.
Alrighty then. If we are to have the grammar police, then why not the spelling police? Spell check is your friend. But hey, we all do it.
It's CONSTITUENTS. You missed the "S," grammar police.
All in fun. 'peace out' hehehe
Probably because they can speak English.
You must be a skitzoid (Alan West) hobbit (lame McCain) for questioning the Rino, er, I mean, Moderate, GOPers as they continue to make deals with the devil.
Because their terms aren’t up yet, Johnny!
You scratch my back—I’ll scratch yours. That’s what it’s all about in Washington.
>> Probably because they can speak English.
But it was written.
