I Don’t trust union presidents,especially the NEA teachers union which has been instrumental in dumbing down our public schools to the point many of the kids can’t even fill out a college application! Unrevised American history is not taught while sex education is!
your job as a teacher or better yet ... my employee is educate my children. that is what i am paying you for and you better do it with the correct curriculum and with enthusiasm or you will be replaced.
a parents job is to support their family and pay your over priced wages in a system that is never audited. oh i forgot ... we have to pay for the children of all those parents who don’t work and live off of the system.
This is just a diversion. The teachers union is fighting reform - again. This time they want to block a plan for a longer school day.
Really hard to know who to “root” for here so....I’ll just enjoy the popcorn.
According to one parent, the local high school only teaches “football and condoms”.

One individual teacher is not the system. It was the system of which I spoke, there are individual teachers doing a good job but the primary purposes are as stated and have been relayed to me by principals and chiefs-of-police.
Many, if not most, parents are unconcerned when little Johnnie doesn't know basic arithmetic, punctuation or the rules of punctuation as long as the grades are high and the student is accredited.
My Physics, Chemistry and Math students have parents that do.
Doesn't change the system. Just trying to provide a view from inside the asylum.
