I think you are a cut above and you probably have the same quality of associates and friends.

Some of the good old boys here think Sarah is white trash, but I think they get that from their wives who are projecting. and trampy white trash themselves.

I relate to the country fellas and gals, they are the salt of the earth, and work hard and will do anything for you, but there are exceptions. They also are smart and can beat you at your own game while you think they are stupid or ignorant. They play a great game, and they treat the woman with lots of respect.

As a card-carrying member of the Sons of the Confederacy, I would remind our Northern Freepers that most Southern men have tremendous respect for the leadership skills of strong women. Maggie Thatcher, for example.

What annoys us the most is when we have a wussy politician in charge who has no core values in common with us.

If Sarah is the nominee, there is no doubt that she will carry the Electoral College votes from the Southern States. That is all that counts on Election Day 2012.

The first thing that would happen after Sarah announced would be the largest campaign money bomb in the history of politics. This would make the undecideds make up their minds that Sarah is the real deal and also give her their support. It would be like a chunk of ice falling off a mountain ledge and ending up as an avalanche of destructive force. The Democrats would be swept out of power in the Senate and we will take a larger majority in the House. The people of America win. And that's a fact.

Wrong. They know the MSM idea of who Sarah Palin is. McCain held her back last time. She will be in control this time. If she chooses to run she will campaign her heart out and go for the win with all of her heart. I for one like her chances. We will see. I do on the other hand have first hand knowledge of Perry. I voted for him every time. Only because he was the best that was running. He is a big disappointment. I won’t vote for him in the primary whether Palin runs or not. He is a fake in the first degree. 4 years of him will swing the pendulum the other way...

Would it be tacky or smart for her to be there to tacitly remind voters she is still in play?

Her being there told me that she was there to get attention but not willing to be part of the debate.

She isn't running in 2012. She knows she can't win and if she runs and loses, the media will drop her like a hot potatoe. Her only chance to stay in the public eye is to keep doing what she's doing...making speeches and selling books. Make no mistake, she is marketing herself for personal gain. Running for POTUS would NOT help, but would hinder that because nobody wants a 2-time loser.

She knows all that...won't run!

If you were really a supporter, why did you mention her two years as governor and the size of her state, hmmm?

I was (past tense) a supporter but no longer.

Fact--she served two years as governor of a state that only has 700,000 people and 60% (or more) are white.

I honestly think being POTUS is way over the head of Sarah Palin and it would be a disaster...which is likely to be true regardless of who is elected.

I think Sarah is smart...and that is why she will not be running. Why would she run if she doesn't have a chance of winning. Just keep promoting herself, selling books and making speeches. I think she can be a real asset doing that.

I would like to see her in a cabinet position...Energy, EPA, Sec. of the Interior. But POTUS?...not ready.

So why did you support her in the first place? None of the things you stated has changed.

I love Sarah Palin, but I don’t get why people think they have to associate her with Reagan to help build her up.

Sarah Palin is a strong woman, a strong PERSON, who doesn’t need to ride coattails to anybody, even Reagan.

Can you imagine anybody “supporting” a male candidate who would keep posting pictures of that candidate with Reagan “watching over them”? It seems kind of sexist.
