Barack Obama has gone to Congress asking for more money to spend. The President, in a rambling and tedious exercise mixing blame with demands, made quite a few dubious statements in laying out the case for Congress to vote for the plan which as yet does not exist. Much like Obamacare, Congress must ultimately vote for the bill to know what is in it.
At one point Mr. Obama made a major gaffe; he identified Abraham Lincoln as the founder of the Republican Party.
Lincoln did not join the Republicans until 1856, over two years after the party was founded. The first Republican convention was held in Ripon, Wisconsin in 1854.

And the same media that excoriated Sarah Palin for an off-the-cuff answer to a question about Paul Revere that was correct. But Obama gets his facts totally wrong in a prepared speech he planned for at least a week and read off a teleprompter - and he gets a complete pass.

Hey, I’m all for showing the MSM is in the tank for Obama, but posting an entire page here might be running up against some previous agreements regarding copyright.

The average voter is not as focused on Barry’s mistakes as are the majority on FR. So, when a republican’s mistakes (like the Bachman Elvis flub) are beaten to death by the media, Barry’s equally stupid gaffes go through with nary a peep. Voters need to see the man’s ineptitude.
Someone should tell Obama’s speech writers that John Freemong (The Pathfinder) ran for President as Republican in 1856.
