A suicide attack at a Nato base in central Afghanistan injured 89 people, including 50 American soldiers.

JALALABAD: A suicide bomber driving a truck attacked an advance Nato combat post in central Afghanistan, wounding 89 people including 50 American soldiers, the United States Army said Sunday.

The Taliban claimed responsibility on their Internet site for Saturday’s attack, news of which came as the world marked the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks that killed almost 3,000 people in the United States.

US Army spokesman Major David Eastburn said: “It happened at 5:15 pm on Saturday.

“It detonated near the entry oint at a combat outpost, resulting in 89 wounded in action and a 20-foot hole in the wall.”

Perhaps the “trusted informant” engaged in a little misdirection?

I am afraid political correctness is endangering our soldiers as it did at Fort HOod. The military brass wants to pretend jihadists are nice little pets as long as you bow to them enough.

Or, maybe a soldier farted in front of a jihadists and he got mad. (I take it you read the article about the brass banning farting because it was upsetting the Islamists in Afghanistan...).

As to the Stan. It seems that we are not going to get an "Anbahr Awekening" moment we had in Iraq. So the only option left is "More rubble, less trouble."

Our troops should be out of there. As far as I am concerned we have accomplished all we are going to there (kill Bin Laden) and if the Afghans don’t want to bother working with us, let them rot too. We need to use a few tactical nukes as well, fifty, or better, eighty, to make of for those lost among Seal Team Six, in addition to the fifty wounded now.

I’m pretty sure you know this and are simply venting your frustration, but the U.S. Military does not use tactical nukes unless it were in the most extraordinary circumstances.

Where would the battlefield be...you use tactical nukes on a battlefield...? You don’t use them to indiscrimanently kill anybody and everybody who happen to be in an area, friend, foe, neutral, women, babies, etc. because you’re angry about a ‘copter shootdown and a suicide bombing.

I hope you understand that even without Obama at the helm and even without political correctness in the top brass, the U.S. Military’s own doctrines would not allow for what you want.

The question is, what do we do about Afghanistan? Hussein Obama says we’re pulling out no matter what, and it is obvious the Taliban gain traction with the people there just by that Obama declaration. The Taliban are brutal to anyone who dares side with “the enemy”, and when “the enemy” announces in advance, hey, we’re leaving no matter what, the Taliban have the people there in a vice grip, through fear and violent intimidation.

In addition to that, Afghanistan as a culture is hopeless. They will always be what they’ve always been. No amount of bloodshed or money spent will change that.

Tactical nukes would not stop the Taliban, but it would inflame the world. Oh and by the way, it is under the NATO umbrella that we are in Afghanistan. Can you imagine European + Turkish NATO sanctioning tactical nukes in Afghanistan when even the U.S. Military’s own doctrines would preclude their use there??

As stated, I suppose you are simply venting your feelings.

The focus in today’s news seems to be about the tragedy of people who “lost their lives” when the towers fell, instead of people who were killed by attacks conducted by radical muslim jihadists.

Today I will scan for the word Muslim or Islamic. I wonder how many times it will be properly identified.

Our news has been sanitized in ways that would have George Orwell screaming from his grave.

We either shoot to take them out or it’s past time to bring our boys home. Either fight to win or get out of the ME altogether.

During WWII we dropped two nukes on industrial cities populated with civilains. The conventional fire bombings of Tokyo and the German city of Dresden killed more people than both bukes did. I am of the same opinion as General Douglas MacArthur, in that if you make the decision to go to war, you should use every and all weapons (total war)at your disposal in order to shorten the war, thereby saving lives and property. He also aexpress the belief that anything short of total war is immoral.

It is too bad that America heroes are targeted
by the Imam Obama to die by his agents in 57 States.

If the US Congress does not impeach Obama and let
the US Patriots fight back (as they should), then
they US Congress, itself, is responsible
(as it is already responsible)
for EVERY SINGLE DEATH. American traitors all.

Of course not. You evacuate the friends first. Then you remind the rest what total war looks like.

Well, nuclear bombs or not, what are we supposed to do?

Ten YEARS of blood and treasure ...everyone remembers 9/11 in terms of the 3,000 who were killed that day ...let’s not also forget the 4,000+ who have been killed in the name of this plague since then, and the numbers continue to rise.

What do we do? It just goes on and on. How are we going to end this scourge on humanity?

>> How are we going to end this scourge on humanity?

1) Open up all the oil reserves in the USA. Render their oil irrelevant. Starve the beast.

2) Let them kill each other.

3) If they attack again: FAEs. Lots of FAEs. Not a single boot on the ground. No expensive surgical weapons like cruise missiles or JDAMs.

4) For the lone wolf types: military tribunals and hangings because that’s how you deal with spies, assassins, and saboteurs in war.

5) For those “good” muslims in western countries who claim they just want live their lives peacefully: tell them that it is THEIR job to convince us that they are trustworthy and able to fit into decent society. No more free passes. No more kowtowing to their sensitivities. No more covering crosses and hiding Christianity from them so as to not offend them.
