A suicide attack at a Nato base in central Afghanistan injured 89 people, including 50 American soldiers.
JALALABAD: A suicide bomber driving a truck attacked an advance Nato combat post in central Afghanistan, wounding 89 people including 50 American soldiers, the United States Army said Sunday.
The Taliban claimed responsibility on their Internet site for Saturday’s attack, news of which came as the world marked the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks that killed almost 3,000 people in the United States.
US Army spokesman Major David Eastburn said: “It happened at 5:15 pm on Saturday.
“It detonated near the entry oint at a combat outpost, resulting in 89 wounded in action and a 20-foot hole in the wall.”

We would, however the scum in Afghanistam, Pakistan, Iraq etc wouldn't consider it. They'd take out 100 of their own to kill one American. We've become far to politically correct. I agree with your philosophy somewhat but I'd go much bigger. We should have annihilated Afghanistan from the start and made most of it uninhabitable with a stern warning to anyone else who tries something similar.

Ditto. There is no way to “play WAR”. To win any war you must destroy the enemy’s will to fight. This can be done by destroying the enemy, their ability to wage war, or the cause for which they fight. This is why the firebombing in WWII, we were not able to destroy the enemy armies at the time so the allies destroyed their homeland (this would be mecca and medina). This is why we went after the factories and resources that fed the war machine of the enemies (today this would be mosques and oil money). This is also why we should drill baby drill and end their money and our dependence on enemy energy.
This is also, right or wrong, why the internment camps. So we would not have the enemy in our midst. If we can prevent Boeing from moving to South Carolina, we can bring American Tech home from overseas.
Total war means using the weopons at your disposal to achieve victory (provided you want victory, and not just cover for undermining America).

When the Army allowed the openly jihadist Hansan to murder those Fort Hood soldiers, I knew it was time to pull our soldiers out of harm’s way in the Middle East. Our elite can not be trusted with their lives just like they can no longer be trusted with our freedom.
Tell that to the wounded. Many could have lost limbs, their hearing, their eyesight, etc.

Is overlooking crimes in the chain of command part of the military code of honor now taught in our military academies?
Where is the evidence that these highest ranking weenies sought peaceful and lawful clarification of Obama’s questionable natural born citizenship and other likely activities with congress and the courts?

I think the death toll might be being suppressed today. This sounds horrific.
