Ten years ago today, ordinary Americans went to work or boarded a plane and found themselves fighting on the frontlines of a battle they did not choose. They acquitted themselves with grace and courage, just as the thousands of men and women who enlisted to fight in our armed forcesmany on the anniversaries of this dayin order to exact justice for their fellow Americans. We will never forget those who died ten years ago today, we will never forget those who died in the war that started on that day, and we ask God to comfort and bless their families. From across this great nation, grateful Americans honor those who defend our homeland. God bless America.
- Sarah Palin
Sarah Palin gets it. No marmy smarmy talk about we must all get along but calls it what it was...an act of war against the people of America and remembers those who stepped up to defend and protect us.
Well put: succinct and accurate.
Short, sweet, and to the point. Go Sarah!
Thank you, Governor Palin.
We need this woman as our Commander in Chief.
Sarah is an exceptional woman and an even more exceptional leader. America needs Governor Palin. I have now read America By Heart and Going Rogue, both to my complete delight. I have now seen The Undefeated three (3) times, and I am amazed at the cruel and evil treatment Sarah received at the hands of the media, as well as within our own party.
I and many other Americans must have faith that Sarah has the judgment to know when the time is right. I am assuming that the timing of Sarah's entrance is part of her overall strategy in this battle for the American spirit.
EAGLES UP SARAH! AMERICA IS CALLING ON YOU!
Don't us angry. You wouldn't like us when we're angry.
This was perfect. No self-promotion, no politicizing. Just a simple paragraph honoring those who died and those who have served since. Worthy of one who will potentially be our next Commander-in-Chief.
“....Americans went to work or boarded a plane and found themselves fighting on the frontlines of a battle they did not choose.”
WHO were they fighting Sarah and where did these terrorists come from Sarah? Were they nazis, commies, Italian fascists or pissed off Hugenots?
Fully identifying them would be politically incorrect, I guess. Such is American politics.
I found out about the planes hitting the towers here on FR first...
I will never EVER forget it.
May God bless Sarah and America. We have one chance left, I think and this is it!
For guessing people maybe, but for thinkers it was obvious and not needing explanation or being spoon fed.
Write your own message and put in what ever details you want, Bub. It is so much more fun to through darts in a consequence free environment, though, isn’t it?
Aw, c’mon — give yourself a break and realize that Palin has her weaknesses too.
There is NOT ONE American politician who walks on water — they might pretend too, but in the end they all have their limitations.
And most of them don kneepads when it comes with dealing with Islam (and Islam is aware of it).
Can you spell O-I-L?
“It is so much more fun to through darts....”
Hmm? I brought up a sore point, didn’t I? I forgot, Palin is untouchable to many FReepers.
I made no references to her, my comments were directed at your infantile remark.
Can you spell T-R-O-L-L?
You don’t know me or you would never have brought up that inane question.
Some of us respect Sarah, yes.
I know the way you’re behaving on this thread.
I just thought that your comment under the circumstances added nothing to any debate or thought process except that you wanted to find something negative to say. Do you think you persuade anyone of your reasoning ability by doing that? or are you saying negative things to feel better about yourself an your own candidate. I would have thought the same of your remark if you made it about any candidate - it wasn’t Palin specific, but your criticism certainly was. Made her remarks hit a sore point with you...just sayin...
Thank you for the ping ;^)
And ignore the immature on this day.
That would be too cruel. They’re desperately crying out for attention. :)
When did they allow children to have posting priveleges on FR? Your post shows ignorance of Sarah Palin's history, and her ideas. You must not have studied much!
Here's just a portion of one of FaceBook notes concerning Zero's policies:
..." Exhibit A: His drilling moratorium. Guided by politics and pure emotion following the Gulf spill instead of peer-reviewed science or defensible law, the President used the power of his executive order to impose a deepwater drilling moratorium. The Administration even ignored a court order halting his moratorium. And what is the net result of the Presidents (in)actions? A large drilling company was forced to declare bankruptcy, the economy of the region has been hobbled, and at least 7 rigs moved out of the Gulf area to other parts of the world while many others remain idle. Is it any surprise that oil production in the Gulf of Mexico is expected to fall by 240,000 bbl/d in 2011 alone?
But thats just the Gulf. Theres also the question of a moratorium on the development of Alaskas Outer Continental Shelf. It seems the Obama Administration cant agree with itself on whether it imposed a moratorium there or not. The White House claims that they didnt, but their own Department of the Interior let slip that they did. To clear up this mess, Gov. Parnell decided to sue the DOI to get a solid answer because such a federal OCS drilling moratorium would violate federal law. ... -Read it all here!

“Aw, cmon give yourself a break and realize that Palin has her weaknesses too.”
Of course she does. I’d like to see you provide a link to any comment on FR that says otherwise from a Palin supporter. But isn’t it funny that some will even take shots at her when she praises those who gave their lives on 9/11, willingly or not. Pretty pathetic that your dislike of her goes so deep.
>Can you spell O-I-L?<
The reason I made that statement is that I am annoyed with the fact that the West allowed the migration of muslims into their countries for no other reason than their oil supply.
Before the 1974 oil embargo, there was no large-scale muslim immigration to the West as we have today. How is it that the West accepts immigration from countries richer than itself, unless there is a political motive attached to it? Is there any reason for a Saudi, Iraqi or Iranian to immigate to the West, when there is plenty of opportunity for him in his own country?
Has it ever occurred to US citizens that its government is being blackmailed by Islam — we sell you our oil if you also allow migration of our people into your country.
If the muslim world would not have oil, they would have been barred from ever setting foot in Europe or the US as they always have been in history. If we would only produce our own oil and be independent of Muslim oil, we would not be inundated by muslims and there would have never been a 9/11/01.
After having said this, my point is that Palin and other “conservative” politicians know the history of muslim migration better than I do but completely ignore this fact.
Sarah Palin can.
From her September 3 speech:
Fourth, it is time for America to become the energy superpower. The real stimulus that weve been waiting for is robust and responsible domestic energy production. We have the resources. Affordable and secure energy is the key to any thriving economy, and it must be our foundation. So, I would do the opposite of Obamas manipulation of U.S. supplies of energy. Drill here, drill now. Let the refineries and the pipelines be built. Stop kowtowing to foreign countries and dictators asking them to ramp up production and industry for us, promising them that well be their greatest customer. No, not when we have the resources here. We need to move on tapping our own God-given natural resources. I promise you that this will bring real job growth, not the politicians phony green jobs fairy dust sprinkled with wishes and glitter No, a hardcore all-of-the-above energy policy that builds this indestructible link between made-in-America energy and our prosperity and our security. You know, there are enough large conventional natural resource development projects waiting for government approval that could potentially create more than a million high-paying jobs all across the country. And this is true stimulus. It wouldnt cost government a dime to allow the private sector to do these. In fact, these projects will generate billions of dollars in revenue. Can you imagine that: a stimulus project that actually helps dig us out of debt instead of digging us further into it! And these are good-paying jobs, and I know that from experience. For years my own family was supported (as Todd worked up on the North Slope) by a good energy sector job. Americas economic revival starts with Americas energy revival.
I’m pretty sure that Sarah knows exactly who the bad guys are since her oldest son spent a year in Iraq fighting them.
The reason I made that statement is that I am ...
Actually, I believe the reason you made that statement is because you were taking a shot at Sarah Palin and those of us that support her. That is abundantly clear with all of your posts on this thread. Get real.
If you don't want to support her, don't. But, don't pretend and make false claims. Sarah Palin has complete comprehension of the oil industry and what America needs for progress!
From Wikipedia:... " she was appointed Chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, responsible for overseeing the state's oil and gas fields for safety and efficiency." ...
" ... in February 2003, she accepted an appointment to the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, which oversees Alaska's oil and gas fields for safety and efficiency. Although she had little background in the area, she said she wanted to learn more about the oil industry, and was named chair of the commission and ethics supervisor. By November 2003 she was filing non-public ethics complaints with the state attorney general and the governor against a fellow commission member, Randy Ruedrich, a former petroleum engineer and at the time the chair of the state Republican Party. He was forced to resign in November 2003. Palin resigned in January 2004 and put her protests against Ruedrich's "lack of ethics" into the public arena by filing a public complaint against Ruedrich, who was then fined $12,000. She also joined with Democratic legislator Eric Croft[ in complaining that Gregg Renkes, then the attorney general of Alaska, had a financial conflict of interest in negotiating a coal exporting trade agreement. Renkes also resigned his post." ...

Her efficient use of language to get a point across with a minium use of words both in writing and the stump has caught my attention, in fact, for those that write for a living, it is an art form .
Is it me or is she truly blessed in the arena of communication skills, it took this paragraph to really have it hit home.
Simple isn't easy. This is elegant writing.
E.B. White would have been proud.
Bump for Palin!
Today is not the time to speak of the Islamic terrorists 353....why mention them at all. Rather to remember our military and the brave people who saved life, and those who gave their life....honor them.
She has a journalism degree.
She writes her own political and Facebook stuff. She had help with her books.
Facebook would have pulled it if she mentioned Islam.
They have pulled several of mine for that reason.
Thanks for silencing that self-important fool!
I personally have the deepest respect for all the hero NY firefighters who gave their lives while performing their duty on 9/11 and all our heroic military who did the same thereafter, but I know that this solemn day of mourning was also a reason to celebrate for many muslims.
I have personally witnessed Arab students on a US university campus hi-five each other after the towers came down. I have seen in 1986 in Saudi how Arab engineers (graduates of US universities) hi-fived each other when our shuttle exploded.
I am afraid that for every tear shed, every prayer said and every sad story retold on TV, cheers went up behind closed doors and in mosques right here in our own country.
I know, I am childish and irresponsible not to fall down on my knees and worship the ground Mrs. Palin walks on, but I just can’t. Besides, as of yet she has not committed herself.
When I think of Palin, I can’t help thinking of that old goat McCain — the two are intractably connected. McCain sold us out but Palin was his willing accomplice. In fact she supported him in 2010 again when he ran for the Senate in AZ.
How could McCain not challenge Obama’s eligibility in 2008 when he had access to Bambi’s background data via FBI and CIA files? Didn’t McCain want to know exactly who he was running against? Was he that naive? By association, Palin is as naive as McCain. Didn’t she want to know who her boss was running against?
I truly wish Palin well with her book tour and I sincerely wish her success with all her future endeavors — I just don’t think she is POTUS material.
Will you forgive me now? Pretty please?
Sarah in 2012, Piper in 2036!!!
