In the fall of 2009, ATF agents installed a secret phone line and hidden cameras in a ceiling panel and wall at Andre Howards Lone Wolf gun store. They gave him one basic instruction: Sell guns to every illegal purchaser who walks through the door.
For 15 months, Howard did as he was told. To customers with phony IDs or wads of cash he normally would have turned away, he sold pistols, rifles and semiautomatics. He was assured by the ATF that they would follow the guns, and that the surveillance would lead the agents to the violent Mexican drug cartels on the Southwest border.
When Howard heard nothing about any arrests, he questioned the agents. Keep selling, they told him. So hundreds of thousands of dollars more in weapons, including .50-caliber sniper rifles, walked out of the front door of his store in a Glendale, Ariz., strip mall.
He was making a lot of money. But he also feared somebody was going to get hurt.
Every passing week, I worried about something like that, he said. I felt horrible and sick.

Those responsible...all the way up to and including the pResident should be jailed over this one.
Just damn.
And a half.
Has this guy been deposed under oath? The time for anecdotal stories is over, and the time for compiling airtight evidence for a criminal case long overdue.
Disgusting. We need a special prosecutor.
Our border agents are firing BEANBAGS at armed Mexicans in US territory??!!! Do Obama and Big Sis really give a damn about the safety of OUR guys? Do they really not care that these men and women are putting their lives on the line every day??? BEANBAGS for Pete’s sake!!!!!
They have ATF agents testimony supporting what these firearms dealers are saying. That and emails from numerous senior ATF and FBI managers.
Never forget, this was done so the Obama administration would have “evidence” that US gun laws were too lax and needed to be made tougher. This was done for justification for Obama to clamp down on gun rights.
It blew up in their mother-f@@king faces. Damn communist libtard lying murderers.
In Mexico. Extradite every one of them to the Mexican authorities. If they let any go then we throw the book at them here.
The Hague should be interested in these international arms dealers supplying organized crime in foreign countries too if they have any integrity.
Good details - the gun dealer’s - in this accounting of the Fast and Furious scam.
You can make your point without resorting to gross profanity. That is a style that is best left at The DU.
Did he make any spelling or grammatical errors as well? Those things, and being profanity-free, are the true test of appropriate posting here. Can someone here not redact those offending words so we can read this material without all this unpleasantness?
And while we’re sanitizing this thread, covering up the bloody nature of the subject (for the sake of website-security) let me make it clear that we don’t want any of those obscene images of the mangled bodies involved in this operation posted here either. Let’s keep it clean, folks - for the children. OK?
Good point. The legal federally licenced gun dealers need to lawyer up and speak out.
Feds FORCE them to break the law selling firearms to folks who would normally not be allowed to purchase. The feds forced American citizen/businessmen to break federal law under the premise that they would be tracking them.
I don’t think this thing will gain any traction in the media because they were the ones who presented the story without any evidence then the feds created the evidence.
IF the media blows this up, they will be implicating themselves and their party.
>You can make your point without resorting to gross profanity. That is a style that is best left at The DU.
His anger and disgust are perfectly reasonable; and while his word choices may be distasteful he is right: they are liars and murderers.
(Further, they are liars and murderers who can commit this country to war.)
>The feds forced American citizen/businessmen to break federal law under the premise that they would be tracking them.
Isn’t that a form of entrapment? “Break the law, it’ll be ok; we need to make an arrest.”
Sure looks like entrapment.
Force the gun dealers to break the law in order to create the situation of gun dealers selling to illegals.
Then the feds have the gun dealers over a barrell.
In addition to running a scam that the dealers are “selling” to the narco armies, the feds have a case to prosecute the gun dealers for breaking federal law.
What is really sick about this is that the top cop, holder is willing to ruin innocent American businessmen to push an agenda that violates the US Constitution that he swore to uphold.
This admin considers themselves to be above the law.
Luckily, at least one of those dealers followed up with an email enquiring (paraphrased), “Are you sure?” to BATF’s insistance that he continue the sales. In their reply, the answer remained in the affirmative. He saved that correspondence - or we would be reading right now of how it was all the fault of the particular dealers who participated.
Obviously, the Batfags’ recent singling out of dealers in the Mexico-bordering states to report multiple sales is an attempt to ammeliorate BATF responsibility in this matter.
(I assume you knew about that already, but the point should be made in each Gunwalker thread. I believe that this is petty revenge for Obama’s status as Gun Salesman of the Year for 3 years running. If the operations’ intended true outcome also bolsters the liberals’ designs on an uppity citizenry, who is Obama to look that gift horse in the mouth? Guns bad. Government good.)
