Skip to comments.Debbie Wasserman-Schultz: NY-9 is “a very difficult district for Democrats”
Posted on 09/14/2011 11:31:33 AM PDT by neverdem
Democratic party leaders insisted the loss wasnt a harbinger of things to come. Its a very difficult district for Democrats, said Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, noting its Democratic margins there tend to be the second lowest of all the districts in New York City. House Speaker John Boehner (R., Ohio), dismissed that idea.
This is a very seriously Democrat district, Mr. Boehner said. This is not a district that Republicans have any right to believe we could win.

Yeah you have to have very high standards of conduct to be elected as a democrat in the 9th.
Well it is a difficult district as she knows as well as anyone because they have to keep lying to the Jews.
Have you seen any comments from Pelosi?
It’s been a difficult district FOR 90 YEARS?!
I call BS! I think Debbie's knickers are twisted so tight right now, she's not able to form a coherent thought. Uh, come to think of it....she never has! BWAHHH-HAHHHH!
So difficult for them that they only held it since 1920. This women is a complete moron.
Debbie does Dallas, er, District 9.
Wasserman is going to melt like the Wicked Witch come 2012.
Debbie, Debbie, Debbie....seriously????
Can you imagine having a job, where every waking moment is spent, not only denying reality, but attempting to convince others to share in you delusion?
THAT is DWS’s job description!
Gee debbie, when is the last time this district sent a Republican to it’s seat?
She is not an attractive woman.
“Difficult?” Is she kidding? The Dems held the bloody district since the 1920s.
Oh, I forgot, Ms. W-Schultz lives in a parallel universe.
A democrat district since 1923 is a difficult district?
It’s her way of admitting they’ve had to vote fraud elections.
Schumer: “Don’t extrapolate anything from this election.” Keep lying to yourself, Chuckie Schumer. What I extrapolate is that the voters (and this was Schumer’s congressional district) are sick of B. Hussein Obama and you, too!
Difficult district for Democrats.
They only have had it since 1922, until now.
Baghdad Debbie speaks.
With terrible hair!
First, there's "Chucky" Schumer. Then there's Tony "Weiner".
Like this district has tens of thousands of guys who sound like, look like, think like, and are exactly like "Chucky" and Tony.
This is the hardest of hard core Democrat backwaters. A Catholic Republican just swept the district.
DWS knows what that message is.
Yup. That District has only been Democrat since the Harding Administration. With a tradition like that, its a hard fight for the Democrats.
I’m quite comfortable with the idea of Brooklyn being a “very difficult district” for D. Maybe even happy about it.
I understand this seat has been held by the Democrats since 1928. I can understand how difficult it has been for them with a 3: 1 ratio of Dems to Repubs to hold this seat.
This is the same seat that helped catapault Geraldine Ferraro and Chuckie Schummer into national politics .
While the White House doesn’t admit that there is any correlation between this seat and the administration’s policy of isolating Isreal, I would disagree.
It speaks of things yet to come in 2012.
Tough Dem district? Then Dumb Debby is saying that there are probably 80-90% other CDs that are even more difficult. So Dumb Debby is admitting that the Dems are lost in 2012. Good work by the DNC chair-idiot. If she is spinnning, she just went around 180 degrees.
There. I fixed it.
besides the freeloading lazy family in the white house then there is one person I want to see lose their seat and it is Baghdad wasserman
can’t stand the woman, she is so full of crap and it amazes me how many interviewers do not call her out.
Yes I know they’re biased but the things she comes out with are so far out of whack
The margin is 'only' two to one instead of three or four to one, right?.
And California is too, I hear..........
My money's on tighty whities ---- with a tuck under
It is now.
“Can you imagine having a job, where every waking moment is spent, not only denying reality, but attempting to convince others to share in you delusion?”
It’s not so difficult. Any Dem can say almost anything, and Pravda will report it unchallenged. And if it’s important to the cause, Pravda will emphasize the message to get the public to believe it.
DWS could have said NY 9 is a Republican stronghold, and it would have gone reported without challenge.
“DWS could have said NY 9 is a Republican stronghold”
I’d wish she did, some people actually believes her. Self fulfilling prophecy and all that.
From now on, Chairman Washerwoman, DemocRATs are going to have a very rough time. Had they continued on unabated Washington, DC would take on an aura similar to Madrid in 1936 and after the right won the results would not be pretty.
Unlike Madrid, Obama doesn’t need the USSR as he’s got most of the nation’s communists either in his White Hut or in the Congress.
Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz is stupid and dishonest. And those are her good points.
No. Search Pelosi in the news function of Yahoo, Google, etc. It would be worth its own thread, I'm sure.
‘Can you imagine having a job, where every waking moment is spent, not only denying reality, but attempting to convince others to share in you delusion?”
All you need is reptilian cunning and the ability to lie with a straight face... guaranteed success in office.
Weiner won 60%-40% against Weprin last time out. Hardly a “difficult” seat.
There is no singular reason for the Dems to have lost this particular seat, just a lot of bungling of a lot of things with various constituencies in addition to general malaise and a desire for change.
Well Deb, if NY-9 was a very difficult district for democrats, I foresee 435 very difficult districts for democrats in 2012. Get ready for the mother of all landslides for the republican party.
My dog lost his nose in that district!
Its a very difficult district for Democrats,
That what Red Auerbach used to say about the Boston Celtics playing in the Boston Garden......nobody bought that either.
