Tea Party True Winners of CNN/Tea Party Express Debate

Patriots, give yourselves a round of applause. You were the true stars and winners of the CNN/Tea Party Express Republican Presidential Debate Monday night. Opinions vary as to which presidential candidate won. We The People were the biggest winners because for the first time millions who do not watch Foxnews, do not listen to conservative talk radio and do not read conservative blogs got to see who we really are; not a bunch of redneck racists.

As Mary and I sat in the audience, I felt extremely proud of my Tea Party family. You showed the world you are articulate and well-informed regarding the issues. Regardless of the candidate, in response to their answers, you cheered and booed at the correct times. The contrast between tea party patriots and clueless Obama voters is quite glaring.

Brother and sister patriots, we have come a long way in two and a half years. I realized at the debate the days of simply attending “ra-ra” rallies are over. You guys have morphed into a massive army of well-educated well-prepared foot soldiers; boots on the ground doing the work to take back America. Just as Jesus instructed His disciples to fail not to assemble themselves together, tea party rallies are now for inspiration, ministering to each other and fellowship.

Each of you please continue using your gifts and talents and following your passion for our common goal. And still, our extraordinary Tea Party movement does not have a single Commander-in-Chief.

On second thought, I take that back. I believe we DO have a Commander-in-Chief. God!

I was amazed by the number of you who told me about your new conservative radio show, new books, new outreach to minorities, new art project to spread the conservative message, new prayer group for America and etc. You guys blew me away. You are awesome! We are winning! God bless.

Hey there! I thought I saw you on the front row :)

Agree. I said on another thread that the Tea Party won the CNN debate! They did a great job (that is hard to say of CNN) by allowing the audience/TP members to ask the questions.

I wish the rest of the debates would have this great format.

Why RINO Mitt Perry doing the Macarena?

I've noticed when the public is given an opportunity to ask questions of the politicians, the Tea Party Patriots stand out with well-formed intelligent probing questions. It seems to me that the public is better informed about politics just n the past couple years.

It’s always interesting to see people who are against someone instead of being for someone.

I'm "against" liberal politics and RINO Mitt Perry is all about liberal politics.

As for being "for" someone, I am "for" a conservative candidate getting the Republican nomination.

I thought it was a great debate and a big positive for conservatism.

I had been worried about having Wolf Blitzer as moderator because he is such a leftist weasel. As it turned out the format and most of the questions were fine and Wolf didn’t get to tilt things too badly.

Congratulations to Tea Party Express on a job well done!

Yeah, that whole “the tea party movement is dead” line has really not lasted.

I thought it was quite effective, and many of Woofie's agenda soaked questions were resoundly disputed as the some of the candidates handed him his leftist a**

Yester day it was being played over and over, and even Fox News was commenting on it all day long.

Heh, the could hardly bring themselves to mention it before it happened, but Fox viewers watched it on cnn enmass imo in spite of Fox "ignoring" it in the beginning.

More from Amy Kremer in an email:

Dear Friends,

Today we at Tea Party Express are ecstatic as good news for conservatives keeps rolling in!

First, thanks to your effort and contributions, we helped bring victory to conservative Bob Turner - a political newcomer who has run a successful business and came under attack for supporting tea party values. Even more impressive is the fact that Democrats outnumber Republicans 3-1 in this district, which has been held by Democrats since 1923!  This win is a referendum on President Obama's terrible policies and a huge victory for the tea party!

Next, conservatives in Nevada's special election last night fended off a challenge from Democrat Kate Marshall and elected Mark Amodei, who supports a balanced budget amendment and signed an anti-tax pledge.

But we are probably most excited about Monday night's Tea Party Presidential Debate, co-hosted by CNN and Tea Party Express, along with 150 other tea party groups from every state in the nation. This was a very important milestone in the tea party movement, as conservatives gathered in Tampa and at watch parties all around the country to see the candidates debate the issues most important to tea partiers: fiscal responsibility and the encroachment of Big Government into the private lives of citizens.  The debate was broadcast live around the world, including US Military bases. This is incredible because it shows the media is fully aware of the power and influence of the tea party. It's up to us to choose the next President of the United States!

We want to say a huge Thank You to the hundreds of tea party members and organizations around the country that made this possible. It was a great achievement for our movement and we should all be proud of how far we've come!

While some keep saying the tea party is going away, the reality is that we are stronger and more relevant than ever. We're winning elections no one thought possible, and we're dominating the airwaves. Candidates who want our support know they must first be a champion of our values.

Looking back at how far we've come in the last two years makes us even more excited and positive about the future. We'll continue to fight for liberty and freedom, and keep steering this great nation towards the unrivaled success the founding fathers envisioned. Thank you all for helping make this possible!

As for being "for" someone, I am "for" a conservative candidate getting the Republican nomination.

And which candidate would that be? I'm sure you have someone who you think would be good, or at least a selection of 2 or 3, which ones are you thinking meet your criteria?

My criteria? The primary process is about choosing the most conservative candidate. It's sad that you and other Mitt Perry supporters apparently don't agree.

I like Cain, Bachmann and/or Palin should she decide to run. All three are more conservative than Mitt Perry has ever been or will ever be.

No, I didn't. But I read news sources other than FR and read about it. Did you hear Bachmann, while in Arizona, also met with Sheriff Joe Arpaio?

That’s nice, did she call ahead and ask for an appointment? McCain is the one who tweeted about Michelle meeting with Cindy after he welcomed Mitt to Arizona.
