Taxes are not supposed to support "the society".

The purpose of taxes is to fund the government. Federal taxes to fund the federal government. State taxes to support the state government. The people are supposed to support themselves. Businesses are supposed to support themselves. Got it?

What about the people that work at the National Institute of Health who are looking for a cure for cancer,” Schakowsky said.

“Schakowsky also says one reason the 2009 stimulus bill did not succeed was because it was not large enough.”

Yes, and communism didn’t work because it was not done right.

Liberalism in a nutshell.

think for a minute if we did away with income taxes and had only a user or sales tax. Taxes would be collected via business for goods sold.

This would be the fairest of taxes as those who spend the most would end up paying the most.

If I had a couply thousand more per month what would I do with it? Save it, tithe it and spend it. I bet the govt would take in more in taxes and of course our economy would thrive.

"What about the people that work at the National Institute of Health who are looking for a cure for cancer,”

Hey Schakowsky, we were already given a person who had the cure for cancer ...

... But she was aborted in 1977.

“It’s fine for people to believe THEY are their brother’s keeper and there’s plenty of people who DO take care of each other charitably in the USA, BUT DOES THE GOV’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO FORCE PEOPLE TO BE THEIR BROTHER’S KEEPER???”

My question is, where are all those Dems who PREACH "separation of church and state?" I mean, you cannot say we cannot pray in the public because of "separation of church and state" and then espouse that the GOVERNMENT enforce Christian teachings like charity and our "brother's keeper!"

Well, yes, but I used the “brother’s keeper” term loosely, not focusing on the Christian origins of that phrase.

The Greedy Liberals know they are not preaching a Christian idea because they have a Communist interpretation of “brother’s keeper.”

BUT DOES THE GOV’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO FORCE PEOPLE TO BE THEIR BROTHER’S KEEPER???”

From the first legal treatise written after Constitutional Ratification:

In the United States of America the people have retained the sovereignty in their own hands: they have in each state distributed the government, or administrative authority of the state, into two distinct branches, internal, and external; the former of these, they have confided, with some few exceptions, to the state government; the latter to the federal government.

Since the union of the sovereignty with the government, constitutes a state of absolute power, or tyranny, over the people, every attempt to effect such an union is treason against the sovereignty, in the actors; and every extension of the administrative authority beyond its just constitutional limits, is absolutely an act of usurpation in the government, of that sovereignty, which the people have reserved to themselves.
Preliminary Remarks, St. George Tucker, View of the Constitution

------

The Constitution was written for the federal government, NOT the States or the People.

Having the federal government help itself to the wages of our labor, ramrod over all the States and micro-manage every minute detail of everyone's life IS Constitutional treason.

HERE'S A TEACHER'S UNION RALLY. NOTICE THE SIGN. THEY >>ARE<< WITHIN THE TOP 5% OF INCOME EARNERS (120k OR MORE). MORONS. THEY'RE ALSO INTO BLATANT TAX EVASION - THEY GET HEALTH CARE BENEFITS PAID AS 'PRETAX' DOLLARS. WHY DON'T THEY STOP BEING SO 'GREEDY' - PAY MORE TAXES... INSTEAD OF "RIPPING" EVERYBODY IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR FOR THEIR INCOMES.

Funny how when you corner a liberal about taxes being too high, the standard response is, “Oh, I guess you don’t like having roads or policemen or firemen”
