Michigan Governor wants to document state's child obesity stats

MICHIGAN (AP) -- Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has announced plans to begin asking doctors, practicing in Michigan, to start monitoring the body weight of patients 18 and under.
Under the proposal, revealed during an event in Lansing on Wednesday, the data would be entered into a Michigan Care Improvement Registry in the hopes of addressing the state's growing pediatric obesity problem.

The Governor's plan would require the information be stored anonymously, but according to the Governor's office, would give doctors the perfect opportunity to address concerns about obesity with a patient and their caregiver.

What a loser.
1. Get the media to start the drumbeat of a 'crisis'.
2. Propagandize the public enough that they start to believe it.
3. Address 'crisis' through regulation, taxation, or intervention.
4. Public is okay with loss of freedom and/or tax confiscation because the 'crisis' is being solved.
5. Invent new 'crisis'.
FatNet. Hooked into everything. Some say it got smart. It decided our fate in a microsecond.
Before the election, I said these two candidates look the same to me.
This same fear mongering about obesity is the same fear thing that keeps our youth indoors; afraid to go out and get some exercise. If the organs of propaganda spent as much time bringing fear in the minds of the perpetrator as they did with obesity, kids would be have no fear of the outdoors.
If people were not so obsessed with the idea of a perfect world, they would not prevent kids,in their imperfect ways, from being kids. Instead, they could volunteer their time facilitating sports activities for kids.
Obesity goes hand in hand with the underclasses. Where wealth gives access to a variety of recreational activities, food is the one of the few recreational activities of the underclasses—food and, of course, drugs and sex.

Wait a minute! The DemocRATS have been telling us for the past two weeks that America’s children are all starving to death because of “poverty”. I thought starving children were skinny. What the hell gives here?!
