People are not mad at Bachmann not because she made the mandate an issue. They’re mad at Bachmann because she lied about there being “no choice”, and she lied about it causing mental retardation.

Because a girls chances of dying from the vaccine are higher than her chances of dying from the cancer.

False. No data exists to support such a nonsense claim.

Alright, but those go away and HPV doesn’t.

There are 2800 cervical cancer deaths each year due to HPV. There are about 40,000 deaths each year due to another virus commonly known as the flu. Should you have to ask Rick Perry or any other government shmuck for an exemption if you choose not to innoculate your children from the flu virus?

Or better still, have you had your sons and daughters innoculated with Gardasil and if not why not?

You’ve been given the link about 4 times on this thread.

Seems the web-site you are promoting on this issue left out one important adjective, "Sexually-Active".

Here is the actual quote from the CDC:

How common are HPV and related diseases? HPV (the virus). Approximately 20 million Americans are currently infected with HPV. Another 6 million people become newly infected each year. HPV is so common that at least 50% of sexually active men and women get it at some point in their lives.

So, I wonder what the definition of "Sexually Active men and women" is?

You want to bet it is those with multiple partners?

OBJECTIVE research is your friend, FRiend.

You’re right, I’m not a paid pharma politician like perry, so obviously I am not approved to speak about it.

The rest of my post got eaten. What you’re replying to is something that I copied from SoConPubbie and was going to reply to in my own words.

I agree with your post, and I’ll add this since SoConPubbie is one of the bigger Sarah Palin fans on this board. Having private insurance is still voluntary; paying federal taxes is not (without punishment, of course). Alaska, under Palin, accepted federal funds to pay for Gardisil shots. Apparently Palin didn’t mind having SoConPubbie pay for this bigbadevil vaccine (that actually saves tens of thousands of lives worldwide).

You bring up a valid point.

Why didn’t Rick Perry mandate flu shots?

Does he not care about all of the people who die from it every year?

Why does Rick Perry hate flu sufferers?

-- I said HPV is the primary cause of cerivical cancer. Your article confirms this fact. --

I disagree that the article confirms that HPV is the primary cause of cervical cancer. Unless "risk factor" = "cause."

Alright ... let's talk FDA then ...

Judicial watch did a whole white paper on it back in 2008. Here ... (click) ... even if you and I are not on the same side of the coin, we should at least be on the same page. There's three years worth of "post market analysis" available if you care to do the homework.

No, I’m pretty sure he’s an avid supporter of Sarah Palin.

Him and a half dozen or so other bashbots like him on this forum that primarily choose to throw turds at the competition in support of their candidate.

I’m also pretty sure that Sarah wouldn’t be real pleased to count them as her supporters.

Your mentality that nobody should even kiss before marriage, when seen as representing conservatism,, repels sane voters from our cause.

I think 47 states require the hep-b vaccine for children. Hepatitis B isn't contracted casually, is it?

The existence of a vaccine for a sexually acquired disease, if that is what Hepatitis B is, does not bolster your position.

It should not be required, I should not have to pay for it for others.

As a responsible adult and/or parent, it is my responsibility to take care of myself and my family, not yours.

Simple, limited government, responsibility position.

No, that is you mis-representing my position.

I don't believe that at all, just that you should be careful and know the people you are dating.

Nice try though!

People are not mad at Bachmann not because she made the mandate an issue. They’re mad at Bachmann because she lied about there being “no choice”, and she lied about it causing mental retardation.

Bachmann repeated what a person told her after the debate. How much worse is it to accuse one of lying when the accusation is a lie. See it appears that it is King Perry's privilege to have his vaccine supporters make claims without evidence, but oh my Bachmann repeats what someone told her and luddites accuse her of lying.

Personally, IF any parent chooses to have this vaccine injected into their daughter I will NOT oppose. BUT DO NOT expect me to accept unfunded mandates.

It is hardly a meaningless statistic in the context of this being something that only some people need.

It seems that some 80% of women would need this vaccination.

This is not something that only promiscuous sluts get.

Unless your contention is that 80% of American women are promiscuous sluts.
