ACORN and other radical left-wing groups would be eligible for up to $15 billion in federal funding if President Obama’s new economic stimulus package becomes law.
Now that public polling shows Americans are realizing that economic stimulus programs don’t work, the Obama administration is calling the latest round of futile stimulus a “jobs bill.” In a sense it really is a jobs bill: a jobs bill for Saul Alinsky-inspired community organizers.
The draft legislation, which had not yet been introduced in Congress at press time, makes ACORN, Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA), and a phalanx of leftist groups that regularly feed at the public trough eligible for funding.
Section 261 of the bill provides $15 billion for “Project Rebuild.” Grants would be given to “qualified nonprofit organizations, businesses or consortia of eligible entities for the redevelopment of abandoned and foreclosed-upon properties and for the stabilization of affected neighborhoods.” Radical groups like ACORN won’t get the whole $15 billion, though, because they will have to compete with state and local governments for the money.
ACORN would have to get creative to extract grant money from the $5 billion allotted in the legislative package for two other competitive grant programs covered in sections 214 and 215. At first glance ACORN wouldn’t seem to be eligible for funding under the Community Oriented Policing Stabilization Fund and First Responder Stabilization Fund, but oddly enough the group has managed over the years to receive funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, so anything’s possible.
But there is every reason to believe ACORN, which has long been in the real estate development business, will get a chunk of the $15 billion. President Obama, who used to work for ACORN, wants to give his allies taxpayer dollars regardless of whether it is lawful to do so.
In March of this year, Obama’s Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) gave a $79,819 grant to the Miami branch of the massive conglomerate known as ACORN Housing Corp. (AHC). AHC filed papers in 2010 legally changing its name to Affordable Housing Centers of America (AHCOA). The nonprofit corporation owed $162,813 in back taxes to the IRS, states, and cities as of this past July.

I am well aware that this nothing new and may be a century or more old, but when did the constitutional roles described in Articles I and II get reversed? The President writes legislation which is then validated by the Legislature??

With no legal papers to establish ownership (mortgage securitization process transferred no titles, no note documentation, an industry wide practice), the govt has “possession” of formerly private US property available with no legal claimants for the purpose of redistribution in the original social justice plan dating to the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977.
This current “jobs” bill dedicates $16T to the renamed ACORN for redistribution of property in cities all over the US, and especially large cities and especially in NY, FL, NV, CA. The use of subprime mortgages, loss of jobs to enhance the foreclosure process with destruction of the legal standing of private property, makes the redistribution of property from a centrally controlled govt possible. The result is Marxists in ecstacy.
The key tool for use is the destruction of the legal standing of property via the securitization process (no title transfers, no notes)in order for the govt to get control of private property for redistribution with the foreclosure and abandonment of property.
The banks got full payment on the first securitization sale, and then the original properties were sold worldwide in as many as a couple of hundred times within tranches of collateralized (mortgage) debt obligation derivatives with ratings of triple A, with the new “owners” with no legal standing in a US fed court for foreclose and actually “owning” unsecured derivatives. Big Ponzi scheme of fraud. Then the govt forces the taxpayers, losing jobs, wealth, to pay for the redistribution of the “stolen” private property to jobless poor people who do not pay taxes in the first place.

It’s always good to have a choice but like I said eariler, eventually there’ll be no escape. They appear to be insisting on a Roman Empire.

Well, I started my international living in 1999, and left the USSA for good in Jan 04, living in Slovakia till Jan 09, when I moved to the Philippines.
At my age, I am not worried about silly NGOs.
I am happy as a clam.
I have heard nothing about them over here.
If you want to live in Europe, I can highly recommend Slovakia.
