If they’re seriously talking about this as a defensive move, their internal polling must be horrendous.

I think what many libs fear from Perry is the more effective all out attack on liberalism and big government - and Perry does do that more effectively right now than any other candidate and he certainly does it more effectively than Mitt.
IMO that’s what they really fear about Perry - they know this is a battle of ideas above and beyond the Obama election specifically.

Here it starts. Democrats are going to choose our party pick???? Why does the RNC allow open primaries???? This is going to be our undoing.

This is reason #1 that we must coalesce around ONE Republican soon. If Perry is the guy, so be it.
If Romney is acceptable to many Democrats---WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU?

Unless we badly split the conservative vote (as happened in 2008) this shouldn't be a problem.
That said, one thing that needs to happen is we need to stop the practice of allowing open primaries to whatever degree possible in the states that allow them.
Elections shouldn't be open to being "gamed" by primary trolls.

Anyone with any brain can see exactly whats going on with these articles the media, and the Dems fear Perry and I love it.They fear him, but they are trying to frame the public's vision as if he's just a nuisance to them, easily taken care of... not a "problem for them". Well they can try to marginalize all they want. This nation isn't falling for their PR stunts anymore. The perfect weather systems have finally merged for a perfect storm through Washington D.C.

Democrats are going to have to split the Republican vote to win in 2012. They’ll keep pushing Mitt as a financial conservative and try to woo over the country club Republicans..

I hope your right. I don’t trust anyone involved with this whole process from the Dems to Acorn to Barry’s people to the country club Republicans. I’ll do what I can do to tell people that Perry is one of the few that won’t put up with obama’s shit on the debate stage.
