Obama Loses Jewish Support Jewish support for Obama drops

United States President Barack Obama enjoyed the support of an estimated 80% of U.S. Jews in the 2008 elections. However, recent polls indicate he will be receiving far less Jewish support in 2012.

Polls taken before the GOP upset in New York’s 9th District showed that Obama’s treatment of Israel was a crucial issue for many voters in the heavily Jewish area – and only 22% were satisfied with the way he had been relating to Israel.

"Writer Dan Senor expressed skepticism over the chances that the new campaign push would succeed. Obama’s advisors believe the president has a “messaging problem,” he said. However, in truth, “he doesn’t have a ‘messaging’ problem. He has a record of bad policies and anti-Israel rhetoric,” opined Senor, who listed several of the many occasions on which Obama’s treatment of Israel was seen as hostile."

Yup. Prepare yourself for the main dish of anti-Semitism that has been simmering on the “progressive”* back burner to be served soon, with a vengeance.

Most American Jews vote Progressive. They believe in it and they want it to “succeed”. They also like the fact that most Progressives are weak Christians; or even non-Christian or, in many cases, openly hostile to Christianity. If they voted for Israel, they’d overwhelmingly vote conservative and would have for years.

They didn’t like the Schickegruber years after they helped get him elected, either. There’s something in their DNA, like a fly and that blue light, they just gravitate towards these socialist types that promise Utopia and deliver them death.

Pew Research Center surveys show steadily declining support for the U.S. in almost all Arab or Muslim countries, and the Palestinian Authority has openly snubbed Obama in recent weeks

Here is a president who traveled the world in obsequious apology for America's supposed sins. Here is a president who has bent over backwards in his desire to placate, please, patronize the Arab Street more than any. Here is a president who has made no secret of his true Muslim adherence, allegiance. And yet, despite his pathetic groveling, his support among those he had sought the favor of, he has accomplished nothing of the sort, as he has done in all aspects of a putrid failure of a presidency, a president history will record as being that of a failed Jimmy Carter.

Yep, he’ll drop in support in the Jewish community from around 80% to maybe 70%. Liberal first, Jewish a distant second. Sad. For a people who have been so persecuted over the centuries, you’d think they would get that America is the friendliest place for them on Earth, outside of Israel. Where else have they been so prosperous?

“They didn’t like the Schickegruber years after they helped get him elected, either.”

The German Jews always opposed Hitler. The Nazi meetings were closed to Jews from the begining and the Nazis were openly hostile to Jews from before they were an organized political party.

If you are going to spread lies, at least be smart about it.

Yep. It is only a question of how much of a majority Jewish folks will give the Dems in any one election year not whether they will give them a majority. The best a Republican candidate can hope for is that they are not motivated to go to the polls.

Listened to Mayor Koch on Hannity yesterday; What I heard was that if Obama will inch back and reconcile with the Israeli supporters all will be forgiven at the 2012 elections, Republican are always suspect. There is no permanent break with Obama because he is ruining the United States and trashing the Constitution.

It does not matter how Jews vote. Once Obama is reelected he can do anything he wants with Israel and he will. This time in particular Jews should switch if Israel matters.

They had secret meetings that left everyone out except the insiders...

It's not lies, even here in the US the Nazi's had a large and wide spread support for their ideology among industry leaders and celebs to include Henry Ford, Charles Lindbergh, Rockefeller, Mellon, Joseph Kennedy, Hearst... Here's a little truth you might not want to accept, in the beginning (Hitlers rise to power) many saw opportunity in this man and there were many wealthy people as well as industrialists that threw their support behind him. In the beginning they (The Nazi movement) attempted to seduce religion, to include Christian churches (especially Protestant because they were generally more receptive- of course now some Protestant will get pissed off too) where they tried hard to pervert the message and make it work for their cause. Later this relationship became more adversarial once the Nazi's had centralized power, especially with those that didn't “toe the line”... But sadly, yes even among religious Christian leaders you found substantial support in the beginning...

Of course now, no one wants to be associated with this, neither the Churches, the businesses that profiteered, the socialists, media, many wealthy people, celebrities... Today everyone was against him and everyone was the victim and will vehemently argue that their cause has zero connection to this movement and man. Somehow, mysteriously he got the popular vote and was well financed, had positive press coverage even here in the US, even though NO ONE liked, supported or financed him./lol Maybe the Nazi's in their secret meetings that kept people out also “forced” folks here in the US to support this movement? Your views are exactly the same views expressed by a typical German socialist today who feels compelled to argue away the ties between national socialism back then and the socialism they believe in today. No one wants their cause, race, religion, political ideology, business (General Motors, IG Farben, DuPont, Standard Oil, National City Bank-sadly this bank was founded by a Jew, and all supporting national socialism, some right up until the day war was declared) or national history connected with something bad and evil. We always try to somehow separate ourselves and our beliefs from things that have a negative perception and mood. That is why they try very hard in Germany to eradicate all memories of this era, except of course a few monuments they can't get rid of because of the Holocaust (Dachau etc). Of course the Jews because of their plight under this regime are a special class that like black Americans when discussing race have to be dealt with through the politically correct filter and with kids gloves.

One thing you need to know; when you're dealing with power and money you often get very weird relationships or dynamics, sometimes even self destructive. Today, when dealing with the illegal and border issue you essentially have the liberal and the generally speaking more right oriented businesses on the same sheet of music. They have different reasons, but you basically have many on the right as well as left pushing back on any sort of crack down on illegals, securing the border or even enforcing visa standards etc. One can only speculate over their motives, but this odd dynamics is definitely there. The message to the general public by politicians is not backed by their actions either. Though conservatives want to distance themselves from this reality (for reasons aforementioned) it was Reagan that granted amnesty before, Bush W could have done far more but drug his feet. McCain and Perry that now want to reinvent themselves as tough guys on the illegal and border issues are on the record in their support for amnesty... Yet the Republicans want to pretend as if they are “tough” on this issue today. Now I'm going to get flamed by those that feel they have to defend the Republican party, Perry or McCain.

But sure, anything stating that Jews might have had their fingers in the cookie jar is anti Semitic and conspiratorial, got it. I already know where this conversation will go. Yes, even here in the US the Nazi movement had quite some support by some banks, businesses, industrialists, media and celebrities, some even Jewish owned. Even in the US pre war you had a substantial movement and growing support with large crowds gathering when they gave their speeches etc. Want some funny pictures of things that never happened and are all lies? Just google (in picture mode): "german american bund"

Today isn't much different then the past. Today a Jewish community is beginning to drift away from a politician that attended an antisemitic church for 17 years, has Hussein as a middle name, a Muslim and later atheist father, and made all sorts of comments throughout his political life that run contrary to the nation of Israel and value system they say they believe in. All of this was information readily available before the elections in 2008. Now he's doing things that don't agree with- what a shocker.

The Jews have a death wish.

They supported Clinton (no big supporter of Israel), they supported Carter (no big supporter of Israel), they supported FDR (someone who didn't really like the Jews and made some nasty comments about them), they went against Eisenhower who did support them even when he did become President, they supported Gore, Kerry, Obama... ( http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/US-Israel/jewvote.html ) They consistently vote for the more liberal, the further left candidate (even local and state), even if this person has openly voiced antisemitic ideas, vilinizes Israel, supports behaviors that go against their religious values. Unless he's a complete wacko they will generally throw their vote behind the left candidate. FDR threw them under the bus, and they love him! Now before you resort to name calling, realize I have no issue with the Jews or nation of Israel. My jaw just hits the ground when I see them vote for people that openly take positions that flagrantly go against their value system and essentially put Israel in a weaker position, people that openly make anti Semitic statements, repeatedly.

If Jews start with the idea that non-Jews don’t like them very much and will never like them very much, then the choice of parties and candidates becomes a ‘lesser of two evils’ choice. Everyone knows what traditional Republican elites think of Jews, while traditional Democrat elites have a high proportion of Jews. For those who feel familial rather than rational affiliation, the choice isn’t that hard.

Your follow up posts have little or nothing to do with your original post: Jews supported the Nazis.

This is a false statement, and, in fact, a lie now that you know better.

The German National Socialist party was openly and vehemently anti-semitic and nationalistic. This racist bent drew from capitalist nationalist parties (who also excluded Jews) and from the other socialist.

Jews were never supporters of the Nazi party and there is no record of them ever being so, despire your assertion to the contrary.

If you are going to accuse Jews of supporing leftist who betrayed them, you should use the anolgy of the Soviet Communists, who promised to end Jewish pogroms, treat everyone equally, and give everyone a fair shot based on merit.

Of course, the Soviets, like Obama, lied, and were actually secretly anti-semitic.

Ahhhh,

Read again, you had banks in the US, owned by Jews supporting them, and I even gave a few examples.

I don't think you'll find much in terms of actual polling or election data from this time in Germany that is credible and actually based on empirical data. Almost everything on this is going to be gained through deductive means. Realize, Jews found themselves picked on in Europe as a whole, even in France, Great Britain... FDR had an opportunity to allow greater immigration pre-war and he sat on his hands (although the left media which idolizes this President tries to whitewash this). Jews had been looked down upon for a long time in Europe; Hitler was another such mouth and nothing unique. There were German nationalist and patriotic Jews prior to the rise of the Nazi's when they went off the deep end. In Germany you had many Jews that actually belonged to the organizations out of which later the Nazi's were borne (Freikorps) and that is verifiable, like that or not. You’re flat out wrong in that the antisemitism was “unusually” vitriolic early on. The Nazi’s spewed their crap but so did many others all the way before Luther (someone who didn’t like the Jews very much, BTW). The Nurnberg race laws didn’t come until 1935… Even after the race laws were enacted and things became worse, many Jews (Within Germany and those who already had been part of the system- not those in the later annexed areas) were exempt. There were some that actually held higher positions within the Nazi political machine or Wehrmacht. Because you’ll simply call it a “lie” and won’t believe it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erhard_Milch

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emil_Maurice

and others… Like it or not, it’s the truth.

But beyond that, there were many folks that were Jewish or had Jewish ancestry that actually fought for the Germans and didn’t hold any sort of high position. History has been contorted and over simplified in order to stuff it into a category with a simple label on it. Though probably not interested:

http://www.kansaspress.ku.edu/righit.html

http://www.history.ucsb.edu/faculty/marcuse/classes/33d/projects/jewishlife/JewishSoldiersMark.htm

Think about this. Today and there is polling data nowadays that gets into those details, you have the majority of Jews that can vote in an area support Keith Ellison (A Muslim that supports Palestinian statehood, makes statements overseas like this: http://arabnews.com/saudiarabia/article37605.ece, active in the Nation of Islam…). And the National Jewish Democratic Council supported him… *** Tell me, what’s the difference between back then and today?*** The Jews (in general) will vote for a more liberal/socialist candidate even if it's not a secret that there's antisemitism. Somewhere and somehow, the Jewish community is able to reconcile and separate out mutually exclusive interests where their faith and the nation of Israel are at odds with a socialist candidate that they generally favor...

I completely agree that they lie in order to rise to power. But in reality all the “signs” are there.

Let's go back to the Keith Ellison (Obama gets enough attention):
If someone says they're Muslim
Writes letters adoring Luis Farrakhan
Is active in the Nation of Islam
Talks of Palestinian statehood
Has CAIR helping him on his campaign
.... (Before and during the elections)

Shouldn't this be like a big bright billboard screaming at you? It does for me.
