A South African court on September 12 convicted Julius Malema, president of the African National Congress Youth League, of hate speech for singing "shoot the Boer, kill the Boer" at a rally last year. But some Boers (white South African farmers) say they have had enough of violence and racial tension in South Africa and are planning to move out. VOA's James Brooke visited one Afrikaner who started farming this year in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia.
Piet Kemp's family farmed in southern Africa for four centuries. But now at age 66, this Afrikaner farmer has traded South Africa's Eastern Transvaal for Eastern Georgia. Here, he is reviving wheat and corn production on what was once a Soviet collective farm. Kemp says he has no regrets:
"I have a new life here," said Kemp. "I try to make friends with all the people in Georgia, learning their culture. I have been here since 3rd of March, and I have not heard of one murder in Georgia in this time. I didn't hear about any bank robbery. I didn't hear about any one hijacking."
It was not just high crime rates that prompted Kemp to leave South Africa. "There is no security of land, absolutely no security of land in South Africa," Kemp added.

Yeah, let’s here it for security of land in all the former Soviets with Putin in the driver’s seat.
Maybe we need to call it Sakartvelo (the Georgian name for their country) or Gruziya (the Russian name) to avoid confusion with “our” Georgia.
Yes, it is a damned shame they are not coming to our country! They’d make PERFECT immigrants and would integrate into the community rapidly and seamlessly.

Perhaps true, but frankly put, I would far rather make a new life than try to wrench stuff back from the victor. Sometimes the fight isn’t just worth it at all. Would you prefer he stay and die (along with his family) rather than leave alive with his family? He can make a new life in Eastern Europe and that is a far better place than Africa, which is first going to kill all the whites, and then themselves. Then the Chinese will take over.
The natives might actually be happy that they’re there, putting their farming expertise into practice there and then growing food taht will be put on the tables and also provide solid jobs. Then of course, the farmers can teach the natives about the newest farming technology and bring their know-how there. It benefits everyone.
Ex-soviet Georgia faces many problems Russia has - low birth rate, lousy agricultural investment, Muslim growth. Importing German and English, Christian speaking farmers into an area with German and English speaking Georgians, with farmers eager to be safe is better than importing Turks. And South African farmers exported a lot of crops - bringing an international trade network former Soviets do not have.
This is likely a win - win. It is certainly better than Afrikaaner farmers, currently facing the world’s highest murder rate, being slaughtered.
...and drink Black Russians.

When the Dutch first settled in SA there were NO BLACKS there, a few bushmen but NO BLACKS, until the impis of the Zulus forced northern blacks to flee to the south.
Now they have taken over. Does not bode well for the SW US as Mexicans are taking over.
We don’t accept useful, educated, productive white people. Only ignorant, diseased 3rd worlders ready for welfare. Particularly if they are muslims.

Many of them have come here, but the lion’s share have gone to Australia and New Zealand as I understand it. I wish we could attract more of these talented, hardworking people.
Nah, we get the illiterate, baby making, welfare grubbing, criminal illegals. THAT is what the present administration wants. Not anyone who can contribute to a better America.
Given the loss of social and political cohesion it is probably wiser for the individual to flee,at least as long as he can.

I am truly sorry for the turn in the Turk's viewpoints. My Dad recalls them as being ferocious and dedicated allies in the Korean War. The Soviet Union was frequently stymied by their loyalty to NATO and their control over the Bosporus. It is a sad thing to lose a friend to the fanatic's flames.
