Obama: Pass jobs bill without 'division or delay'

WASHINGTON -Doubling down on his economic agenda, President Barack Obama on Saturday kept up his appeal for public support of his $447 billion proposal to boost jobs and consumer spending, calling on Americans to press Congress to pass the legislation.

In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama reiterated a message that has become a central focus of his presidency amid stubbornly high unemployment numbers and dipping approval over his handling of the economy.

The president announced his jobs legislation to a joint session of Congress last week and has since gone outside Washington to build a case for its passage.

"The No. 1 issue for the people I meet is how we can get back to a place where we're creating good, middle-class jobs that pay well and offer some security," he said.

I can’t wait for the tell-all books that come out about the Obamas.

Where did he get the number 1.9 million?

I don't know. Obama makes up his own numbers and I just used his number as reported in the news by various news agencies.

The White House ought to train a parrot to squawk: 'Pass this bill!...Pass this bill!....Pass this bill!....Polly wanna handout!....Pass this bill!....Awwrk!" & put it on the presidential podium for the next speech.

That would save a couple of teleprompters and let Zero get more golf in.

Or here's a better idea: Fight to block that bill with every last drop of blood in your body.

Don't have to.

Obumbler hasn't sent the bill over to either house.

What a maroon!

What is the president’s strategy here?

If the economy continues to implode, the pResident can cauterwahl at the top of his lungs, during the 2012 campaign, that he did all that was humanly possible to right the ship. It was the evil republicans fault. If the economy recovers, as businesses get hopeful that this Marxist interloper of dubious origin is going to get kicked out of office, he'll try to take credit for that (ignoring the fact that his 'jobs for government' bill did not pass). It's strictly politics. This fellow does not know how to govern or lead. He's just skilled in the fine art of demogaguery (and reading teleprompters).

What is the president’s strategy here?

He thinks both possibilities work for him.

If the Congress passes it and the economy continues to be crappy, then the MSM pushes the meme of Republicans sharing the blame. But it won't pass.

If it doesn't pass, then Zero moves to class warfare and race-baiting. Democrats on the debt supercommittee will demand raising taxes, which Republicans will not agree to, and Zero will campaign against the Rethuglican plutocrats protecting the fat cat rich. And with black unemployment through the roof, Zero will claim that failure to pass Son of Porkulus proves that the Rethuglicans are racists, motivating his black base to march and riot.

Hey Obama, I can help you with that:

Step 1: Resign
Step 2: Take all your Marxist sycophants with you

Yet, his shrill advocacy of a DOA bill continues as if it the thing could ever possibly pass in this Congress.

He's desperate because he wants to funnel this money to the unions to help with his re-election campaign.

I think we will be hearing about a family "issue" such as a health problem, soon. Then Hillary will step in, and assume his campaign 2nd Term, for the 'Rat Party... These guys are total liars, something will be cooked up to allow him to bow out gracefully...

“When the economy doesn’t improve in the next year (and it won’t), he’ll try to blame Republicans for not passing his bill. It won’t work.”

You are correct on both accounts. This is exactly what’s going on. He’ll try to blame the wretched economy on the fact that the Republicans won’t pass his latest Klueless Keynesian Kenyan “stimulous”. And this strategy isn’t going to work.

But it’s an interesting campaign strategy because normally the Obammunists usually just send trial balloons up the flagpole and if it doesn’t flap in the polls, they quickly run up a different balloon. But this phony jobs bill strategy has a very lengthy setup time before they can get to the blame-line, so they would appear to have put quite a few of their long-term strategy eggs in this basket. And the good thing for us is that it has no chance of working at all. The fact that they’re pursuing such a faulty campaign strategy makes me wonder just how desperate and out of better ideas they really are.

“He’s frantically making speeches from the podium, but is not calling leaders to the WH for talks.”

That’s because he’s simply making campaign speeches at taxpayer expense and not making any real effort to pass this phony “jobs” bill because he knows it has no change of passing Congress anyway.

And you and they (those on the left beginning to, or thinking about beginning to laugh at the “Obamas”) are therefore getting reported to Attaaaack Waaaaaatch. I only need three more turn-ins before I earn a free iphone and a month’s worth of Wall Street camping space. Nothing personal.

“If it doesn’t pass, then Zero moves to class warfare and race-baiting.”

You mean there was a point in time when “Obama” ceased promoting class warfare and race baiting?
