What would anyone expect? People don’t go out for a Sunday event expecting to get killed, have their legs ripped off, and or get chainsawed by exploding shrapnel.
If people want to hold these events for personal profit, they’d better expect to be held personally responsible when things go bad.

As a pilot for 55 years and having attended 2 air races myself I have always felt that an accident like this was bound to happen some time. The problem with air races is the only way to protect the crowd completely is the front straight would have to be so far away that the crowds would not come.
With that in mind I believe the race promoters are very libel for what happened and the victims deserve a large award.
I also have a distaste for ambulance chasers when they are trying to bring cases for those that are not really injured. But this is not the case. The victims had every expectation that they would be safe. I believe the promoters knew better an were just taking a gamble with others lives.

Disgusting. This guy is so low, he needs an umbrella to keep the ants from peeing on him.
I live in Reno and was a few miles from the air race when the incident happened. Last night one of my pastors told his story—he was about 100 ft. from impact.
Word around town about the future of the Reno Air Races is: the lawyers and insurance companies will decide its fate.
