Beating the Racism Card
The American Thinker ^ | September 20, 2011 | J.R. Dunn, Consulting Editor

Obama is finished. It's not so much the past six weeks, rough as they were, as his own actions and responses that have finished him...........These were not the actions of a leader, a statesman, or even an adult. They will be neither forgiven nor forgotten.

It's hard to see how he recovers from any of this. (And this is not even to mention the unfolding Solyndra, LightSquared, and Fast and Furious scandals; add the AttackWatch debacle and my cup runneth over.) He has no shred of reputation left to build on, no reservoir of goodwill to draw from. His approval rate is 40% or below, a number no first-term president has ever come back from. According to Gallup, he is running effectively neck-and-neck with every GOP candidate, even exotics like Ron Paul, and the campaign has scarcely begun. The triumph of Bob Turner in NY-9, a district that hasn't voted Row B since glaciers covered Long Island, merely puts the seal on it.

At this point, he has only two possibilities -- a GOP screwup, or a dirty campaign. So a dirty campaign it is. And we don't have to look far for the source of the muck. In fact, we don't have to look at all, since it has kindly made its way to us. This campaign is going to be about one thing: racism.

.......How can I say this with certainty? Because it's already happening. Consider........

This tells us how to handle these accusations. You don't go along with the script. The script is there to humiliate and destroy, and that is all. Instead, you defy it. Stand up to the accusers and run them off......

What will happen is that the accusers will retreat. They are bullies, and that is what bullies do. ....

Worth the read and consideration.

It's time we put this in the LIBERAL'S camp and let them deal with it -- they've nurture it -- let them own it.

Don’t forget to ridicule them, loudly and openly. Laugh at angry racists like SJL, Big Al Sharpton, and the like. That will make them even angrier, and we can laugh even louder.

“...He has no shred of reputation left to build on, no reservoir of goodwill to draw from.”

This isn’t the half of it. Most Conservatives were convinced of this stuff while “O” was only a candidate. He has since, and almost hourly, justified every misgiving WE have had...and then some.

The Democrats and their President act out the accusations they threw at President Bush.

I want to believe Obama is finished. But if the author is basing his conclusions on the unfolding Solyndra, LightSquared, and Fast and Furious scandals; add the AttackWatch debacle and more, then he is very delusional.

The average voter knows NOTHING of any of these things. Nor do they care. The average voter is too pre-occupied with Chaz Bono and DWTS to give a care about this sort of stuff.

Why don’t you read past the first paragraph and come back and comment on what he suggests?

My family is mostly liberals. They think Obama is a great president who is only second to Jimmy Carter as the all-time greatest president of their lifetime. My mother told me that the reason that Obama hasn’t turned the economy around is because there are too many conservatives in Congress that won’t let him enact the policies needed to fix the country.

That is the mentality that we’re dealing with when you talk about red states. They’re convinced that Obama is the second coming. Sarah Palin is an idiot because that’s the way she’s portrayed by Tina Fey. The country was better off under Carter. And that everyone that disagrees with them is a racist.

I think the Presidential race is going to be closer than the conservatives are predicting because Obama still has a very dedicated army of sycophants and a billion dollar campaign fund. He also has a lot of friends in the MSM.

The RATS will cheat like they always do, and the ‘pubs will screw up like they always do. However, the way to defeat the race card is to call them on it every time they try it. get right back in their lying faces and ask them why 50 years of preferential treatment for blacks has actually made them worse off.

"It is a remarkable thing, passing all logic, that the racism card has proven such a useful tool for American liberals. It's well-understood that the Democrats were the party of racism and the strongest force keeping segregation alive. Many of liberalism's grand heroes were not only racists, but crazy racists, obsessive, unbalanced, and cruel..."

Why would I do that? I read the first sentence. Only three words. And if the author is dead wrong in just three little words, then why do I want to waste my time with anything else he suggests?

The racism card is dead. Any time anyone uses it from now on, they need to be laughed at. The Kenyan killed the racism card. Hallelujah!!!

You can always state the following lie:

“I voted for Obama in ‘08 to prove that I wasn't a racist !”

“I'm going to vote for (republican of choice) in ‘12 to prove that I'm not that stupid again !”

Rush has spent a lot of time on this today.

Evidence all over that Liberals have concluded Obama is an EPIC FAIL and they are preparing to toss him under the bus before he takes Liberalism in toto down with him for a couple of decades.

Great article.

Brings to mind a few times when I’ve evaluated Black patients, or - better yet - Black mothers of patients, who try to manipulate me with some sort of appeal to my sense of supposed guilt over being White while trying to help them.

I have found it useful to simply acknowledge that they are Black and that I am White, and that there’s not a darned thing either of us can do about that, and then I ask if, given that, they want my help anyway. It always diffuses and cuts through the crap, and we get down to working together.

I think the race card has been overused, and has lost its impact on most of us now. It’s really all they’ve got though, which is sad for them when it’s lost its potency.

Indeed. We need to go all out 9-9-9 against the RATS, and do it with a steely grin.

It’s a pretty good game plan. We need to apply it to Muslims as well, because they’re playing the same card.

Too bad. It is impossible for any conservative to win a close election in the current political atmosphere.

If that's true (what you say about yourself), then I am a bit confused as to why you would take about ten times that original amount of time to post on the thread? Why didn't you just hit the red box and close the window?
