Criticizing House Republicans for the disaster relief provisions in their budget bill, Reid told reporters, "We're not going to cave on this."

This is all about the Democrats insisting on a big money increase in a bill to fund FEMA disaster relief but it looks more like a game of 'chicken' initiated by the insufferable Harry Reid so that he can cry that 'Republicans don't care!' or some such emotional nonsense. Polls show that when it comes to the nations economy, more Americans believe Obama is more responsible than congressional Republicans. When I read that - and stopped banging my head on the desk - I realized that this is why the congressional Democrats keep advancing economic proposals that are non-starters with Republicans. So they can claim that the Republicans are 'stone walling' attempts by Democrats to 'fix' the U.S. economy. Yeah, its lame but then, Obama has a 39% approval rating yet we all know he should be a lot closer to 15%, so, go figure.
