If Israel Disappears
Jewish World Review ^ | Sept. 20, 2011 | Cal Thomas

Posted on 09/20/2011 9:17:43 PM PDT by ReformationFan

The world -- or at least the large part of it that hates Israel and wishes it would go away -- moves a step nearer that goal this week when the United Nations votes on whether to recognize a Palestinian state. The vote violates the Declaration of Principles signed by the PLO in 1993, which committed the terrorist group and precursor to the Palestinian Authority to direct negotiations with Israel over a future state. This violation is further evidence the Palestinian side cannot be trusted to live up to signed agreements and promises. Caroline Glick, whose column appears in these pages, rightly calls the prospective UN vote "diplomatic aggression."

Israel -- like the Jewish people for centuries -- has become the fall guy for people who prefer their anti-Semitism cloaked in diplomatic niceties. The Palestinians could have peace any time they wish and probably a state, too, if they acknowledged Israel's right to exist and practiced verbal, religious and military disarmament. One has a right to question the veracity of a people who claim they want peace, while remaining active in ideological, theological and military warfare aimed at its publicly stated objective: the eradication of the Jewish state.

The United States has pledged to veto the Palestinian Authority's membership application if it comes before the U.N. Security Council, but the General Assembly is another matter. There only a majority vote would be needed to grant the Palestinian government permanent observer status. From that point forward it would be death by a thousand diplomatic cuts until Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad finally decides to fulfill his own prophecy and drop a nuclear bomb on Jerusalem or Tel Aviv.

History shall record that it wasn’t Hamas, the PLO or Iran that removed Israel.

It was the American Jew.

Really, they agreed.
You can’t trust anything the philistines say, expect one-driving all the Jews into the sea and killing the rest.

A Palestinian state would be a fine target to wipe out state sponsored terrorism!

IMHO...

No matter what happens, it happens for a purpose; remain confident no matter what happens and never waiver in support of good and free nations like Israel. Of course, IMHO, American Jews as well as Israelis would be well advised to develop more widely-accepted gumption to support their own and know who their friends and enemies are. Weak defenses invite the attacks of bullies.

If Israel Disappears, I am going to open my house up to a Jewish Family fleeing from Israel.

It will be crowded, but I will do so.

You got it. I along with the rest of the horrible dirty American Jews, who BTW couldn’t even agree on a color for the bunk plaque at sleep away camp, have been plotting the demise of the only country that takes the vow of never again seriously.

On a serious note, Israel isn’t going to fall.

“History shall record that it wasn’t Hamas, the PLO or Iran that removed Israel.

Go tell that to all of the American Jews protesting this week outside of the U.N. Tell that to the Orthodox Jews and probably a lot of other Jews who voted for Turner (a Catholic Pub) in the 9th District in NY rather than vote for a Lib Orthodox Jewish Dem candidate in a predominantly Dem district. Your blanket statement doesn’t hold water.

If you qualify it to the self-hating Jews who are secularists and where their ideology (Lib) trumps any traditional ties to Israel or any psychological affinity to other Jews or even being Jewish, then I will agree with you. But you must qualify your statement or it doesn’t hold water and sinks under its own weight.

If Israel disappears, may they take a billion of their enemies — innocent and guilty alike, that's how collateral works — with them.

Your blanket statement doesn’t hold water.

You have to remember, those who voted Republican only did so after 2 1/2 years of rule by the one they voted into office along with his henchmen.

Now, they suddenly “see the light” and change their votes from the Democrat to the Republican in a state of panic.

Well, it’s too late. The train has already left the station and won’t be coming back.

It’s Karma. You make your bed and you lay in it to sleep.

Yes, it was the American Jews.

46% of Catholics voted for Obama also. Guess its the same bed they must lie in also. By the way, I love your train analogy. Was that unintentional or are you just vicious?

Yes. Of the 46% who voted for him, the ones who have lost their jobs and home so that they could enjoy hope and change, have made their beds too.
