September 21 at 6:30 PM, the Ground Zero Mosque will open its doors to show a photo exhibit in its community space. Park51 is hoping to discourage its opponents by declaring an early victory in spite of its recent embarrassments and setbacks. This grand opening does not mean that the fight is over. The project still has a long way to go until completion.

Not much can be done as they who own the property can do what they want with their property.
It’s a psychologial warfare tactic.
Hmmm what be dat smell? Did they truck in some virgins?
Key word- “victory” to celibrate and encourage more jihad
This, plus OPEN GAYS in our once, fine Military is marking the true end of our country.
I don’t know. I can’t here without a myriad of city inspectors and boards approving everything and for a fee.
What if they wanted to put a Walmart there, would New York City stand for that?
The pro-Hussein media is promoting this like a victory for civil rights, just like they did for gays in the military.
Meanwhile... Christians are martyred over hour of every day in Muslim counties. But no worries. MSM tells me it is a religion of peace.
Really? You must not be familiar with NYC zoning laws.
Why not open it 10 days ago to really rub it in?
I do hope zoning laws have something to say about dragging a hog carcass through the lobby as a sort of decorator’s statement for the new diggs.
Hell it’s like that in UPSTATE NY. Eminent domain rules in the smaller cities. Neighborhood infested with drugs? Simply swing the wrecking ball at private rental property and don’t compensate the owner (see Rochester NY)
Out in the rural areas, the DEC boys tell you an upturned bottle cap is a “wetland” and therefore you are forbidden to build a garage on your property or make use of that half acre you call a “back yard.”
This is besides all the swaggering, drunk with power, code inspectors and the ensuing permit fee upon permit fee.
Why can’t Christians hold a bible study at home on “their property” without a permit?
I guess some religions are more equal than others.

Park 51 AKA "Ground Zero Mosque" To Exhibit "Art" On Wednesday
Pamela Geller's SHARIA Hotline is burning up right now: the organizers of Park 51 AKA "The Ground Zero Victory Mosque" are opening a photo exhibition by artist Danny Goldfield in the former Burlington Coat Factory on Wednesday. What kind of photos? Muslims celebrating 9/11? Puppies getting beaten with Korans? Bald eagles being tortured by crescent moons? From Park 51's Kickstarter: "Danny is photographing a child from every country on earth currently living in New York City."
Park 51 raised the $70K necessary for the show, which is a "salon-style presentation of over 170 beautiful color portraits of children." Goldfield, who has snapped photos for LIFE, CNN and FOX news, says the exhibit is "about finding the courage to meet and get to know neighbors to build trust and friendship." Yeah, well there BETTER be some photos of kids from the USA in that exhibit!
You mean, why not open the Ground Zero Mosque with a “Happy September 11th!” observance? We know the muzzies considered it.
There’s a mosque across the street where I live (in a high rise thank goodness) and the Friday following 9-11 the muzzies had a HUGE party like I’d never seen before. Burkas and hijabs and kufis and beards were everywhere. Even rides for the littler jihadis. Then a huge amount of trash left on the curb the following day.
Coincidence?
Could you please cite a case where a home Bible Study in New York City required a permit?
Because 10 days ago would have been two obvious.
Ten years plus 10 days.
Thanks (evil) democrats.
Oh yes I’m sure it was. It was probably just the imam’s birthday bash or maybe they were celebrating the forced circumcision of a 4 year old girl. Something innocent. ;d
Well we just heard about the case in California where a home study group was fined $300 with $500 more fines if they don’t stop and get the unobtainable permit.
Can NY be much different?
I believe that abomination is happening in California
Bain Capital, has cut checks totaling $90,000 to Romneys operation.

I will in no way defend that local statute in California which prohibits Bible or such study groups and you cannot compare what is local law in California to what may occur in NYC.
The bottom line is that the Constitution does not specify which people may or may not be able to exercise property rights.
And I don’t think any of us want to live in a country where local, state or government officials dictate who can and cannot build on their property.
As I understand it, San Juan Capistrano and NYC are two different jurisdictions and may not necessarily have identical municipal laws.
Do you have reason to believe that the mosque will violate NYC zoning laws of which the owners of the mosque will not be able to obtain a variance?
Clever...The muslim reps are at the UN...
just like the left and the resident left wing trolls who come on here.
They will not give up and will always try to give their views or get what they want.
They’re like little kids throwing a tantrum.
Lefties , muslims, resident left wing trolls same difference
Yep.
Wonder if this would be happening if we had a Christian in the WH?
What agency of the federal government would you like to decide who will and who will not have property and other constitutional rights?
I am against the mosque. I also think tying it to Romney because of such a tenuous link is stretching.
“Wonder if this would be happening if we had a Christian in the WH?”
Would you like the current and all future presidents to dictate what each of us can do with the property that we own?
I would organize several thousand visitors and each of them will leave a memento there, some casually tossed bacon bits, maybe some bacon, even some fried pork rinds.
There’s plenty that can be done, just alot of it isn’t legal
While wearing clothing made from BACON-!!!
I believe you may not be aware of the zoning laws.
How about checking out the exhibit while eating a ham sandwich?
Yes, and some so-called conservatives aid them by pretending to be purists on the matter. Yet they would themselves be in a hissy fit if their neighborhood became threatened by an undesirable, though legal, presence.
Calling Lady GaGa.
Someone needs to drop a pulled pork sammich on the front steps.
Lefty’s throw , burn and destroy stuff, as a form of protest all the time..often they do not get arrested..why would throwing pig’s blood at, or near, a mosque any different?
Massacre?
Were I to find myself in NYC this weekend, I think I’d find a way to visit the mosque...with a few packs of bacon and some drippings in can. And then I’d call it ‘freedom of speech’ and protest favoring one religion over another (favorite lib tactic) and I’m sure the MSM would make me a hero. Right?
Might I suggest some NY FRiends visit the open house and smuggle in some ham sandwiches? LOL
Not because leftists don't want it (they do), or because conservatives oppose it.
I've been hearing for awhile, that this is all an elaborate fundraising scam to milk money out of donors (mostly leftists).
Alot of muslims, or at least alot of folks in the muslim community here in new york, are chattering/gossiping that the money is going to go into the pockets of the group running this, who will turn around in the future, blame conservatives/christians/patriots, and say they "can't open", and will move on (with millions of dollars).
One muslim told me, that if this was a real venture to build a mosque, the saudis would have paid the whole thing in full, without hesitation. They know its a scam, because they know who the folks are running it.
