Perry's adrenaline-packed new ad

“PROVEN LEADERSHIP” – PERRY’S NEW AD: Rick Perry’s campaign is launching an epic new bio spot today. The first 40 seconds attack “PRESIDENT ZERO,” juxtaposing eerie images of national stagnation with footage of Barack Obama taking responsibility for the economy. A tornado siren playing over the president’s voice creates a palpable sense of alarm. The last minute of the web ad introduces Perry as a job creator and veteran who believes America’s best days are ahead, rotating sunny images of the country at its best with footage from the Texas governor’s announcement speech. Lucas Baiano, who produced the spot, has signed on with Perry after working for Tim Pawlenty. Watch it: HERE.

Lol Your statements don’t sell. But you don’t care, so reader beware. You will post them till **** freezes over. They don’t get any more saleable, just more stale.

Can you imagine a macho-macho Romney ad? He has a tough chore presenting as genuine.

So true! This is how they're selling Mitt:

Mitt Romney, a safe choice for risky times (the reassuring center)

Yet another demonstration of the dishonesty of the Perrybots.

Let’s entertain your fantasy for a moment that a liberal Democrat like Perry was in the 1980s would vote for Reagan... well, that would mean he not only lied to his constituency, but was a traitor to his own party. If he can lie to his constituents as an elected Democrat about whom and what he supports, it is just as easy to do so as a Republican.

It’s that basic dishonesty thing that Perry and his supporters have. It was the #1 reason I opposed Slick Willard and one of the top two reasons I oppose him (along with his stance on open borders).

...with a little help from open borders RINOs like Rick Perry.

We get it, you are a stalking horse for Romney. Take out Perry, you get Romney, a coin-flip gets you him or Obama. Keep either one of those you keep ObamaCare and an Establishment Ruling Class Elite.

May your chains rest lightly on you. Clearly that is your heart's desire.

(You probably can't even define "RINO" beyond simple platitudes)

You are right. I have some reservations about Perry - but he’s no RINO. A RINO originally was someone who benefits by trashing conservatives - someone whose career is based on getting love from the media and other liberals by being a pariah in the Republican Party. Think McCain, Graham, Snowe, Collins, etc.

Now true, this goes hand in hand with being liberal on policy, but the meaning of it used to be more of a mindset of trashing other Republicans, thus it was RINO and not CINO (conservative in name only).

More revisionist history/Perrybot talking points and dragging down of Reagan. Yet another reason why Captain Gardasil is so truly deserving of scorn and opposition.

It's been used so much that it's meaning as been watered down to nothing. Now it means, "If I don't like you on a single issue or you're running against my FAVORITE candidate, you're a RINO".>

Precisely. If Perry is a RINO, what's Olympia Snow, or Mike Castle?

Goodness, Ms. Behar, you wound me to the core. It’s amazing you could contain yourself enough not to post something in your typical style to have the Mods ZOT your response. You have a nice day.

His stance on immigration is a dealbraker for me.

Can you even accurately articulate his position on immigration - or all you know is opposition talking-points and bad vibes?

Perrybot Talking Point Numero Uno !

Hey, n00b, I suggest you go take a look at my posts from 2006 to today to see how much of a “stalking horse” I am for that scummy, Sociopathic Socialist Slick Willard. Making absurd accusations like yours are going to get you laughed right off this website.

Of course. Why would a liberal support Al Gore for President, that ole ultra-right-winger !? The spinning and the lies keep on a-comin’ from the Perrybots.

The fantasy is yours. I was a Texas Democrat in the 1980's, and most, especially those of urban roots, weren't liberals.

Ooh, I even voted for John Sharp for Comptroller, and thought he did a good job. I participated in the Texas Tomorrow Fund, too. oooohhh.

Very well done — and very hard hitting.

I feel they should play up even more the misery this presiden’ts policies have wrought ...esp w/ black americans. They should highlight the long unemployment lines ...the running for welfare checks and other scenes.

They need to him him so hard he screams.

And then finish w/ the glory of America as it was, and as it could and should be ...a united America, mostly.

Hit this bozo harder if you ask me.

Snowe is a DIABLO. Mike Castle was a Democrat agent for the DE political establishment.

First some studies. Some studies suggest that illegal immigrants annually cost the federal government $100 billion dollars. Illegal immigrants from Mexico, Central and South America have an average educational level of about the eighth grade and many studies confirm people with such low levels of education are on average a net loss to our economy. Maybe 50% of illegal immigrants work in the underground meaning the pay no taxes or payroll taxes. The monies earned in the US and sent home are a further drain on our economy. There are other costs brought about by uninsured drivers and by non English speaking immigrants.

There are many other problems associated with illegal immigrants. The problems are so numerous and far reaching that another Opeation Wetback is needed. Perry's actions on tuition for illegal immigrants and some of his statements on these matters provide little hope that if elected Perry would not follow through with meaningful steps to correct these problems.
