Former President Bill Clinton said Tuesday that the success of the alternative energy movement is hampered by a lack of financing. His comments came as world leaders attending his annual philanthropic conference expressed fears about rising seas.
The ex-president's three-day Clinton Global Initiative for VIPs with deep pockets began Tuesday with a frank discussion about addressing global climate challenges, co-hosted by Mexican President Felipe Calderon and South African President Jacob Zuma.

He is such a manipulating, transparent charlatan.
He has the gall to say this when Solyndra, the HALF BILLION DOLLAR BOONDOGGLE is just starting to break as the tip of the iceberg of scamming the US taxpayer in the name of “green jobs”????
Last night on FOX news (think it was Hannity) Andrew Breitbart said he is going to soon release a story that will make Solyndra look small. Crooks of all stripes have been forming “green companies” to grab some of the TRILLION DOLLAR stimulus money, and then going bankrupt.
Solyndra and LightSquare-— impeach impeach impeach
Here’s the entire script, Billy Jeff:
1. Private investors have no appetite for crappy investments that won’t return a dime. Ergo, private investors are greedy bastards who also don’t love their country.
2. The “green” energy companies turn to government loan guarantees to cover their buts when their companies dissolve into a pile of worthless mush. After all, government must invest in the high risk technologies that private companies won’t (the government line).
e. The “green” energy companies fail, sticking the taxpayers with the tab, because the technologies don’t work and cannot produce reliable and affordable energy.
3. Democracies go bankrupt from endlessly amassed debt including these outrageous “green” loans.
4. Rioting in the streets by the parasite class when their freebies are finally cut off.
5. Western Civilization ends.
He’s telling BO to double down on the stuff that has been proven not to work.
Looks like slick willie is trying to bring the Bamster down from the inside.
It accomplishes at least 3 things -
one, it removes productive wealth/capital from the private sector and destroys it.
two, it makes their base sheeperals feel good about themselves for “saving the erf”.
three, it furthers communist goals of expanding government and destroying capitalism, as there is no conceivable scenario in which “green energy” can support a capitalist economy.
That’s what happens when you create a movement with non-working hippies as the main support.
Algore has plenty.
He should pay his fair share.
It’s the patriotic thing to do.
He’s greedy and should be punished.
He has more than he needs.
He should step up to the plate and fund all the green energy programs.
Meth addicts need just one more fix...
Greenies con artists seem to be addicted to hand-outs.
Clinton, at least publically, is really starting to piss me off. He’s been waaayy too supportive of commissar Zero recently.
“here’s some more rope Barry...”
Former President Bill Clinton said Tuesday that the success of the alternative energy movement is hampered by a lack of financing.
Wrong dumba$$... the success of the alternative energy movement is hampered by a lack of consumer demand.
“Former President Bill Clinton said Tuesday that the success of the alternative energy movement is hampered by a lack of financing.”
Interesting perspective. I think most investors would say that lack of financing is hampered by lack of success. But, then again, economic ignoramuses like Bill Clinton almost always get economic cause and effect bassackwards.
Why can’t democRAT ex-presidents fade away like the Republican ones do?
klinton is a slime ball liar, lied under oath and was impeached. He has no credibility whatsoever.
LOL!!! Wonder how much of Our 535 MILLION DOLLARS to Solyndra he got?
