That was no ordinary bling on the wrist of First Lady Michelle Obama at the DNC fundraiser in New York Tuesday night. Those fancy diamond cuffs were the creation of 23-year-old Katie Decker, whose namesake jewelry line has been making a serious splash since her graduation from Texas A&M two years ago.

You’re right. I’m sure they are on loan. Standard practice for celebrities. Although, I do keep hearing the aria “Glitter and be Gay” everytime I see that woman decked out while half a million people are thrown out of work.

Michelle Malkin is doing an awesome job of exposing the corruption associated with the occupants of our White House and within this corrupt Administration. We need more patriotic Americans investigating every shred of corruption in DC so that We The People can clean this sewer immediately.

if I were in the car business and were to provide a car for you without compensation the value of the 'loan' of the car would be a taxable event to the recipient and perhaps even a deduction to the car business

it's a stretch and say that Mochell is in the high fashion business

a gift would have to be reported ... I don't know how clothing and accessories 'loaned' to politicians has been handled in the past

Wearing bracelets that cost in the thousands, even "on loan," is not a particularly smart move considering the state of the current economy, particularly when the state of the economy is more and more being attached to her husband's name.

Michelle Obama is not a "celebrity," she is the First Lady. The celebrities who typically wear the borrowed jewelry aren't married to the guy who seems to be constantly telling us that we are all going to have to "sacrifice" and who talks about "the rich."

She's already been criticized for taking extravagant vacations,wearing the expensive shoes and clothes, eating and drinking well and expensively while so many people in the country are out of work, having homes foreclosed, can't afford vacations, and are otherwise having difficulties making ends meet.

It just plain "looks bad" and you'd think someone in the White House would tell her clearly that she needs to rein herself in and cool it with the conspicuous consumption and self-indulgence, if she has any interest in her husband being re-elected.

Of course, maybe she's not interested in that.

Just read on Drudge this morning about a moon rock that was “found” in Clinton’s presidential stuff - worth more than a million dollars....hmmm...how does that happen by accident? A lot was ripped off from the WH when the Clintons’ left, but Barry and Michelle hate all things that have to do with the patriarchal white man history of America — so maybe they’ll leave those relics behind —or have they already sold it all to their donors? Why hasn’t Katie C or Diane S had a tour of the WH with Michelle so We the People can see if anything is missing? Who will have the guts to go after these frauds now or later???

Meanwhile, is anyone asking why no one in Congress, except Issa, is demanding the truth and exposing the enemies within? No calls for impeachment on the basis of the continuing exposure of this Administration’s corruption? Is every member of this Congress gutless? No one I talk to believes that the politicians in DC don’t know the truth and don’t know whose committing the corruption and the theft of We The People’s tax dollars?
