Connecticut Governor Enacts Card Check Through Executive Order
Big Government ^ | 9/22/11 | Dr. Susan Berry

Posted on 09/22/2011 12:34:58 PM PDT by Nachum

Continuing a fiat governance style that is right out of the Obama playbook, Democratic and Working Families Party Governor Dannel Malloy issued two executive orders yesterday that will force daycare providers and home healthcare workers in Connecticut to join unions. The orders, his ninth and tenth since taking office in January, will force the state’s 4,000 daycare providers to add over $1 million in dues to union coffers, and remove the right to secret ballot election for these workers by instituting a card check process.

Who’s gonna watch the babies when the daycare worker gets her union-ordered coffee and lunch breaks and goes into overtime t 8 Hours?

Service to self is all that matters. To hell with the babies.

A lot of us in CT know Malloy stole the election. Fraud and the state labor unions got him Selected. It’s the inner cities and portions of Connecticut that should belong to New York that also doomed us.

Lol. I can imagine the union rules for daycare!

Falling: call 911 to pick up baby; have two union reps present when baby is raised.

Choking: call 911 to perform heimlich (not covered in contract); have two union reps present when attempting to remove foreign object.

etc.

The collapsing birth rate and thus long term extinction of our civilization make this additional pressure all the more dangerous.

Honestly at this point we might hope for a compete collapse rather then a slow death. Maybe more women will start focusing on children rather then economic prosperity in this life.

All I can say for sure is the one that do focus on having more kids instead of being more successful in this one life are the ones that will continue to exist(genetically) in the future.

We are breeding the so called “high achievers” out of existences.

Is this Dayton person any relation to the family that started Dayton’s department stores?

I wonder how many of those employees were forced to be unionized???

Marxist bastards. All of them.

These people do not work for the same employer, I thought tiny businesses that employed a few people were exempt from unionization? Not any more I guess.””

Similar legislation is being pounded thru the Calif legislature.

Also a bill concerning BABYSITTING-—where your babysitter needs a ‘break for bathroom & rest” every 4 hours & a ‘substitute babysitter’ must be hired for that break. Also mandatory WORKMEN’S COMP for babysitters & METICULOUS records of payroll & paychecks.

Wait until they go after the teen age boys for lawn mowing.

Glad I left California when I did.

union protectionism isn't a 'right.' It's a violation of others' rights - to trade freely and without interference, intervention, or legal force.

Unions are the modern day plantations. Obama is the overseer.

Obamanomics

Let's not dignify these abuses of power, even with a sarcastic label like above. THIS ... IS ... TYRANNY!

Useless to pretend we live and work under any sort of free enterprise system anymore. The time Benjamin Franklin presaged, when "... people discover they can vote themselves money" has definitely arrived. Now we have to push back a tidal wave of union corrupt/elitist investor-banker non-productive filty rich (ex. Soros, Buffet) laws and regulations. (Was that a run-on sentence???)

I'd rather we'd been hit by a giant tsunami than what has transpired in my lifetime.

BTW, just what kind of a party is the 'Working Families Party'? Hmmm, let me guess ... .. .. . . . . . . or let me gestapo!?!

How can any executive order apply to persons who are not employees of the executive branch?

I don't get it but I heard the commie governor of MN is considering doing something similar, but the signatures the union collected by subterfuge in MN are mostly wayyyyy too old. He might just conveniently ignore that and do the same as CT.

That is a good question. I guess the answer is that Executive branch has been allowed to expand and expand their powers over the decades without any real challenge.

Just so everyone knows, Malloy won when a box of ballots was ‘found’ in Bridgeport (a solid Dem city), after a supposed election problem with ballots in Bridgeport, so polls were open an extra 2 hours in that city. It was a very close election.

I doubt it will do any such thing. It's a political stunt and the details can be found in this article.
