Chris Christie Reconsidering 2012 Run, Will Decide in Days
Newsmax via Drudge ^

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is reconsidering his decision not to enter the 2012 presidential race — and he says he will let top Republican donors know within days about his plans, Newsmax has learned. During the past few weeks, several leading Republican donors and fundraisers have been urging the popular Republican governor to reconsider his decision not to run and to enter the GOP primary. These Christie supporters note that significant GOP support has remained on the sidelines of the primary fight. Many leading fundraisers have yet to commit to any current primary contender, including frontrunners Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. Newsmax has learned that the effort to draft Christie culminated in a hush-hush powwow held in the past week with Christie and several notable Republican billionaires.

Hopefully he also considers losing 90 pounds. Just for healths sake. I bet he’s 280.

Not really interested in a Christie candidacy, but Romney must be dreading this.

Ann Coulter must be thrilled.

This would be the best possible news to derail a Romney candidacy. Christie is even more liberal than Romney, but they’ll just split votes and allow a Perry (or Palin?) to win the nomination.

Win/win.

Romney. Palin. Perry. Now Christie. If Ronald Reagan himself came back from the dead and announced he was running, there would be people calling him a RINO. I am getting sick of the search for the “perfect” conservative that destroys our candidates while the Muslim Marxist sits back and laughs. There is no perfect conservative. Every candidate is flawed. Instead of attacking each other and giving Hussein Obama fodder for his own ads, they should be attacking the Muslim Marxist non-stop.

I can’t believe you think he’s only 280.

He’s at least 330. He’s huge.

Geez, Rush takes 1 Day off of work and all hell breaks loose (Perry Collapses, Christie thinking about running).

Lol, Palin should find out what day Christie would announce and jump in the same day.

Good point. Christie doesn’t have the national name recognition either.

Also, Electoral College-wise, Christie would be as weak (or weaker than McCain). IN, NC, and VA go back to serious play, and MO, MT, snd Omaha CD become in doubt also.
