Let’s be blunt. Gov. Perry is struggling because he is not of a superior intellect. He does not have a grasp of the issues and that’s why he cannot articulate them with ease. This isn’t the “George Bush is dumb” argument. Pres. Bush is of a high intellect, but does not possess great oratorical skills. That is hardly a litmus test for intelligence.

Gov. Perry does not have IT. Pres. Obama doesn’t have IT either; the ability to recall and articulate information without consistently grasping for thoughts. There is a big difference between grasping for thoughts and grasping for words, which is what Pres. Bush does.

I was a supporter of Thad McCotter. He has IT. Newt Gingrich has it. Unfortunately, Mitt Romney has IT, or at least he’s close. IMO, Gov. Perry will not stand up to the test. He’ll get caught by the media at every turn. The media will make excuses for an Obama or a Biden, but not a Republican Governor from Texas. Sorry.

Perry's not just pro-ILLEGAL alien, though he certainly is. But he goes one further and criticizes those who do not agree with him.

There are LOTS of legal Hispanics in TX, not just illegal. These legal Hispanics vote in elections there too.

I'm not a single issue voter like many here, but immigration is a huge issue for our economy, culture, sovereignty, not to mention national security.
