" Anybody seen any 'Green Shoots'? " the " Green Shoots " are trending downward into the never never land pit.

Looks like a lot of folks were heavily invested in the new " GREEN ECONOMY " and it failed big time.

That’s been an interesting and often repeated story. I’ll look into it.

Me thinks that the greatly propped up Chicom's economy is got big time problems and ready to collapse, not counting the bog time problems that the USA and Europe are having.

Welcome to the brave new world liberals that you made.

I’d say reduced demand thanks to a world economy that is crashing down.

" The word is China’s building boom may be ending. "

And what did they build ? condos to nowhere, crap bridges, crap train systems, condos that no one can afford there, substandard infrastructure systems, money and resources wasted all for the reason to " APPEAR " to look like a strong economy, artificially propped up.
The house of cards is getting ready to all come crashing down.
Forget about all the problems, riots, hardships we will have hear in the USA, just imagine what it's going to be like for China when they have bad roads, buildings, bridges, infrastructure and millions upon hundred of millions out of work and starving.
Imagine millions upon millions rioting in China.

$3.50 to $4.50 probably speculators and demand from China. The word is China’s building boom may be ending. They were using enough resources to build a city the size of Houston in a month.
Komatsu is saying they are not getting paid by developers in china. Komatsu is Caterpillar’s competition.
The “confidence” in Obama and the western and Chinese debt binge is over. People think things are not going to get better.
They sure will not with Hussein, Romney, Amigo Perry, Newt or Federal Reserve Herman Cain. The Fed is pure evil along with anyone who worked there.

All that debate, dog & pony show of the debt limit being raised was just a waste of time, soon, very very soon, China won't lend any more, and the money flow will be cut off.
The USA will sometime later this fall will default.

" That sure says something. ChiCom bubble economy maybe over for a while or a decade "

And we have been hearing from the MSM cheer leading squad for China that China will be over taking the USA in 2015 at the world's leading and powerful economy.....looks like that MSM is wrong one again on that one.
Brian Williams is sadden.

" The Fed’s recent tactics were not for stimulating the economy. Those were efforts to push markets, and thereby, oil prices down temporarily. "

Could it be a move from some to help Obama's re-election ? temporarily lower oil prices to help the economy to only temporary get better after November 2012 so he can get elected again.

If oil can drop 7% in one day on speculation ,is it too much a stretch to think that maybe speculation drives it higher in the first place. Look at the last 3 years , when the markets were up oil futures rose with it, despite many times having near record inventories. We are being hosed folks.

Looks like that was a government sponsered propaganda article.

Take a look of some of the comments under the article.

" Hmmmm - if I learnt anything from dealing with China for the last 10 years its this:

1. Nothing (very little) in China is as it seems
2. There are no experts on China only varying degrees of ignorance."

" Seeing what I have seen I dont doubt for a second that the Party could move people en masse to fill a city if the whim hit them. "

" It is true that during the day you can find people in the parks and on the streets shopping, but go there at night and it's a different story completely. "

There is no doubt that the Chicoms could have read some of the western news papers and media about China's ghost cities and amassed people to go there during the day to " appear " like it's up and running.

Imagine that ? being a Chinese peasant getting paid by their government to go to this brand new city to go shopping, and spending a day in a nice new park.

Folks, the ChiComs have a large army. You can do anything with a bayonet except sit on it. They will march.

" Folks, the ChiComs have a large army. You can do anything with a bayonet except sit on it. They will march. "

But the citizen armed Army here in the USA is 10 times larger than the Chinese army.

Oh, yeah ? the Chinese banks are not doing well as they thought they would last year.

‘. Sometimes financial market folks remind me of climate scientists.’

Yes, why is all economic news bad news? Copper has been so overpriced that you’re afraid to go out for the evening lest someone rip the wiring out if your walls. Cheaper commodities is GOOD news for us all.

Yes. Those two links were all that I could find during a considerable amount of time searching. The Chinese government is actually allowing the story of ghost cities to run wherever without rebuttals. Why? The actions and inactions of the PLA in the matter only arouse questions in some of us.

Why is a 50% or more down payment required for Chinese workers to move into those condos or houses? Most of the better employed ones can’t afford such a deal for a condo or four-plex. And meanwhile, there are maintenance crews supported to work in each of those cities.

Why did the PLA allow some Chinese people to get so wealthy? Quite a few billionaires there.

What kinds of clients have those wealthy Chinese people been working with?

Why are the cities built so far from one another?

Why are they being built so hastily?

Study the methods of the emperors in accomplishing huge feats (e.g., large population movements/efforts), and the Hans in particular. We begin to see answers.

Thus...China.

As for contemporary American political speech, it’s insulting and trashy to better American readers. Both political parties are too far gone with anti-American, socially pathological commies as controlling constituents. Propaganda on the economy is equally trashy and insulting. The economy is a no-go. It’s ate up.

We need wholesale changes in business, political and academic leadership at every level. Leadership and policy now are antithetical to our great Protestant beginnings. Contemporary America can’t hold a candle to the America that I grew up in, even during such late times (’60s). No sale, until we are unobstructed in rebuilding it. This debacle of debt—this eduocracy of ignorance—will not be revived.

We’re going to have freedom, but that will probably happen after the repudiation of debt and closings of many offices.

"Could it be a move from some to help Obama's re-election ?"

It wouldn't make any difference, IMO. As you can see, many of us have become nonpolitical. Enjoy the slide. See y'all on the technocratic side.

Tell you what. I'll explain.

I've put many hours into duties supporting our Constitution, BTW, but we're far from upholding it as a nation. We'll realize respect for our Constitution, probably, when an otherwise impoverished but willing man can manufacture a useful product in his little shop without any zoning law or requirement for variance in the way. And when he can send an e-mail to an acquaintance while knowing that it won't be read by anyone else, or defend his property or family from an attacker or thief without being persecuted for doing so.

We have a long way to go.
