This reminds me of the agnostic, dyslexic insomniac who stayed awake all night wondering if there really IS a dog.

Oh please, it’s not like she wrote “Mahomet was a sadistic, murdering anti-Semitic pedophile false prophet” or anything like that/s;) What is the alleged “blasphemy” of the misspelled word, if anybody out there knows Urdu?

The teacher, Fareeda Bibi, reportedly summoned the Christian girl, scolded her and beat her. Can it get any more charming?

I honestly don’t think the Communists under Stalin or the Germans under Hitler were that bad. They simply would have corrected the error.
Now Chairman Mao or whoever named Kim is in charge in N. Korea might be another maatter.

OK, I googled.
A “naat” is an encomium to Mad Mo, like that poem was apparently intended to be.
“Laanat” means “damn.”
A little round dot seems to be the only difference in the Urdu text.
Of course these freaks, with not just a chip, but an entire Frito-Lay factory on their shoulders, act as though the girl was guilty of far worse than poor penmanship. Actually I’d say damn the poem too, but I’m safe outside of Pakistan.

I hate to say it, but Ann Coulter was right. We should have formed a Pax Americana and taken over the planet.

It is a very small difference The word laanat means damn and the second word naat is from Arabic and means a type poetry praising the Prophet. I've cut and pasted the two words below in Urdu which looks like Arabic script to me. The difference is in the 3rd character in the first word. it's slightly more than a dot. You can easily see why those adherents of the Religion of Peace whose religion treats women fairly and is truly just as well as advocates learning for all are so upset with this little girl. What's the punishment for blasphemy in their country? لعنت vs. نعت
