The Palestinians Want Peace --- Just Not With a Jewish State
Jewish World Review ^ | 9/27/2011 | Dennis Prager

About five years ago, I was invited by the Hoover Institution to lecture at Stanford University over the course of a week. Coincidentally, Israel's Independence Day fell during that week, so I was invited to speak at the celebration held by pro-Israel students. In my talk, I noted that the crux of the problem in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict was that most Palestinians wanted Israel to cease to exist.

After my talk, a woman walked over to me and introduced herself as a peace activist. She told me that she could not agree with me because Palestinians, in her view, were quite willing to accept Israel's existence.

As it happened, about 50 feet behind the pro-Israel celebration was an anti-Israel demonstration led by Palestinian students. So I told the woman to go over and introduce herself to the Palestinian students as a peace activist — that way they would immediately trust her — and ask them if they were willing to acknowledge the right of the Jewish state of Israel to exist. I told her that I would bet her $5 that they would not answer in the affirmative.

She accepted the bet and walked over the Palestinian students.

"I come before you today from the Holy Land, the land of Palestine, the land of divine messages, ascension of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the birthplace of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) …"

I noticed that too, how the Jews were left out. But my major concern was the treating of Jesus like Muhammad (unless you figure that, by naming Him second, Abbas tried to make Him less). I was pretty upset with the speech up to that point, by now I was furious.

They do not want peace.

That is a lie.

If all the Israeli’s lived in the middle of the Gobi desert, the Palestinians would still be on a campaign to murder them.

Interesting that they say they want peace but they are always on the attack. Question.....if the Palestinians want to become a state, who owns the land they are presently on and are they willing to give it up?

I don’t remember where, but yesterday I read something that went more or less like this: If Israel gave up all the land except for a city block in downtown Tel Aviv, the Palestinians would still want to destroy Israel. Ain’t that the truth?

Just chase the Arabs (There are no Palestinians) out and don’t worry about what they will or won’t accept.

If the Saudis cut off the oil, take it.

Next terror attack, nuke Mecca.

I think you will reach deals very quickly.

“The Palestinians Want Peace -— Just Not With a Jewish State”

Who knew?

The very same can be said for Islam itself:
Islam wants “peace” — but only in a world without infidels.

Just sayin’...

If I'm not mistaken, Israel owned much of the land the muslims squat on in the first place. And, if the Palestinians want a country, why don't one of the surrounding muslim countries give them an acre or two of their sandboxes.

...the Palestinians deny that the Jews ever lived in Israel. That is why Yasser Arafat could not even admit that Jesus was a Jew...

Jesus was a Jew, the Virgin Mary was a Jew, Jesus's earthly father Joseph was a Jew... aunts, uncles, cousins... Jews, Jews, Jews...

Palestinians are not only clueless - seems they never read the Bible either...

Even calling the Holy Land an Israeli state inadvertently admits the ancient Jewish presence. Jews were Israelites long before we were Jews.

You are right.

The Palestinians only sit around in the dirt and plot murder. It’s all they have ever done or ever will do.

With the Israeli’s, the desert is a garden and improvements are everywhere.

The old testament it is full of murder, plunder, and destruction by the ancestors of these cave dwellers. You are right, these knuckle dragging barbarians haven't changed one bit in all of history and like it that way. They are hateful, their god is hateful, their profit-hateful and their land is inhospitable. Yet, Israel flourishes...hummmmm.

I’m often amused by the concern in the Western world for Islamo-phobia when the real problem is the Islamic world’s mundo-phobia (fear of the whole world). It is the only major religion in the world that can only exist by threat of death.

It's almost like God favors the Jews - like, like, like they might be his chosen people... or something like that... we can only guess.

You cannot have peace with a people that teach their children that one day they will kill you all.

Yeah, it’s almost like that;) You would think the muslim leaders would wonder why they still live in hell holes and Israel flourishes... but I guess that thought only pisses them off. And, if they ever got the ground of Israel (which they won’t) it would become the same hell hole like the rest of the middle east.
