Millionaire Michael Moore Calls Capitalism Un-Christian (BARF!)
Washington Examiner via FoxNews ^ | September 27, 2011 | Joel Gehrke

Posted on 09/27/2011 7:13:21 AM PDT by maggief

..[Piers] Morgan asked Moore about his opposition to capitalism, especially given Moore's financial success as a filmmaker. When asked if his movie-making amounted to a capitalist endeavor, Moore replied "Is it really?" He then noted that "the only reason I do well is because people want to see my movies," before indicting the modern financial system as a corruption of capitalism, a "shell game."

As Moore concluded his remarks on capitalism, he said that "it's not American." Additionally, he said "it's not Christian or Jewish," after citing 46 million poor people that Moore believes the capitalist economic system neglects. "None of the major religions, in fact they all," Moore said, "say it's one of the worst sins you could commit, is to take such a large piece of the pie while others suffer."

Hey Moore. In communism you would no longer have unlimited access to Little Debbie Snack Cakes.

Actually, he most assuredly considers himself the equivalent of the “nomenklatura”, who had access to all sorts of resources that everyone else did not.

Moore and those of his ilk will be first up against the wall, when the Revolution they so covet happens.

Bloated hypocrite.

Never read the parable of the talents, has he?

He doesn't even understand that the most basic principle of capitalism is found in the scriptures:

2 Thessalonians 3:10 (New International Version)
10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”

While the parable of the talents is about spiritual capital, it shows that Jesus at least didn't have anything against capital gains.

Returning after a long absence, the master asks his servants for an accounting. The first two servants explain that they have each put their money to work and doubled the value of the property they were entrusted with, and so they are each rewarded:

I wonder what God thinks about a big fat rich blob who wants to take other people’s money, but hangs on to his own? He said he got rich because people went to his movies. Corporations get rich because people buy their products. What’s the difference? Mikey has taken advantage of loopholes, but that’s OK?

This is the Money Sentence: As Moore concluded his remarks on capitalism, he said .... "It's one of the worst sins you could commit, is to take such a large piece of the pie while others suffer."

He says this line while sitting on a FIFTY MILLION DOLLAR personal bank account.

Michael Moore: Aggressively Hypocritical and Smug About It.

"...people want to see my movies."

Maybe, maybe not. But what he has done is cultivated a specific following because of his whacko far-left statements. Those like-minded Marxists watch his movies... like moths to a flame. The Left does do an excellent job of sticking together and supporting one another despite their various self-interest factions.

In other words, every time he does an interview, he could write off any related expenses as the cost of advertising.

Seven deadly sins:

Wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony.

Not one of them that Moore doesn’t epitomoize.

"None of the major religions, in fact they all," Moore said, "say it's one of the worst sins you could commit, is to take such a large piece of the pie while others suffer."

Egad. Where to start?

Capitalism isn't about taking. It is services/product offered in exchange for something of value. That value is determined by one party and if equitable, is paid by the second party. If not equitable, the second party can refuse and do business elsewhere. Simple.

Others suffer because they lack the will, the strength, the vision and are too lazy to get off their arses and get in the game.

As with many that use the word Christian Mr. Moore seems not to be willing to support his claims .

1 Timothy 5:8
But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either.

1 Timothy 5:18
For the Scripture says, “YOU SHALL NOT MUZZLE THE OX WHILE HE IS THRESHING,” and “The laborer is worthy of his wages.

I'll tell you EXACTLY where to start: The absolutely AGGRESSIVE hypocracy of uttering those words in between checking the status of your 50-million-dollar personal net worth.

I think I’ll go to Wiki and attempt to include the following at the MM page.

Michael Moore (American Film-maker) - Solid credibility in the fields of

- Political Science
- Economics
- Comparative Theology

I’ll get back to you with the ^nanosecond^ timing of it being pulled by the mods. It may disappear as I’m typing it in!
