A program that requires local police to run fingerprints of anybody arrested through a federal immigration database is “a publicity stunt,” Gov. Deval Patrick said today.
Federal authorities already have access to the information through the FBI, which receives fingerprints from Massachusetts, Patrick said on WTKK (96.9 FM) Boston Talks Jim & Margery today

Authorities say a man, who was identified as Marcelo Almeida, 41, on a passport, stabbed Patricia Fernanda Teixera Frois, his 24-year-old girlfriend, multiple times on Monday morning in Building 1 in the Village at Marshfield apartment complex. The federal agency in charge of immigration has no record that the man entered the U.S. legally, the Plymouth County district attorney’s office said Monday night.

Not gonna happen, in fact he was re-elected for a second term cuz most of the idiots in this state think he's just so damn good at his job. This IS MA so it's to be expected that he would have no interest in enforcing laws related to illegals.
As a MA resident, I have to say that it is infuriating living under Deval Patrick’s liberal soft on crime mentality. Illegal aliens are committing horrible crimes left and right (murders, vehicular homicide) and all Deval can say is: “it is not my responsibility”.

Same crap here in NH, where our Democrat (again, of course) governor and his AG throw up their hands and refuse to round up the gang members that have invaded parts of the southern tier of this state.
Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification MUST be filled out by any employer hiring ANYONE.
The Federal Government does not ask for this form to be forwarded with any other paperwork anymore. They used to. I was in charge of hiring many years ago and there were penalties from INS for non-compliance. They don't care anymore!
I say, enforce this requirement and hand out VERY stiff penalties to employers who fail to do this. That will stop a LOT of this BS right away.
You ask “who is anyone?” “Anyone” is a person who has NO legal right to be casting a vote. They are an important, possibly critical, part of his base.
In the same way, he is totally unwilling to follow ANY programs designed to stop the killing and maiming of our CITIZENS.
