When President Obama came into office, we were assured that our relationship with Islamic nations would improve. Islam is really a religion of peace. He said the following in his remarks to the Muslim world, delivered on June 4, 2009 in Egypt.
I have come here to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world; one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect; and one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive, and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles principles of justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings. . . . And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.
So where is he as a Christian pastor is about to be executed in Iran because he is a Christian? Where are the media? When three American hikers were tried and imprisoned, they became causes célèbres in the media until they were just recently released. Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani remains behind bars in Rasht, a province in north western Iran, awaiting what is called a re-examination. The courts determined that he was a national apostate, Jason DeMars of Present Truth Ministries, reports. So even though he never practiced Islam during his life, he was born to two parents who practiced Islam, and therefore, he has to recant.
According to law, an apostate is to be given three chances to renounce before he is executed. Meanwhile, the debacle has placed Nadarkhanis attorney in danger, partly for doing a good job for his client. DeMars is convinced that only prayer and fasting will save either of the men. At this point in time, were looking to God. Everything humanly has been exhausted. Something human can be done.
President Obama could intervene and appeal to what he said in Egypt to his Muslim audience: And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.
just saw 700 club and jay seculow and pat on this.
hopefully the secular press is picking up the story now.
shows shia law for what it is.
obama can’t be bothered today. It’s party Wednesday.
Remember, there is NO compulsion in Islam.
Not only WHERE IS OBAMA. WHERE ARE OUR CONGRESSMEN???
We have ALLOWED them to think Christians are an afterthought - or like a bad memory.
EVERYBODY should be on the hron to their congresscritter over this scandalous behavior by these s.o.b.s.
Quietly relishing the implementation of sharia law.
...and tomorrow's out too. It will be Thirsty Thursday.
Then comes Fun Friday, and after that it's on to Wild Weekend.
Why would you expect a mooselimb to do anything about it?
Just posted on Drudge: “Obama invites islamic council to WH for beers and brats to watch Christian Pastor executed.”
I've never heard the term "mooselimb" before. What does it mean and where did that term come from? CURIOUS.
By the standards of the court in Iran, Obeyme is guilty of apostasy too and subject to the same punishment.
He’d better send Hillary for that lunch date with Ahmadeenonutjob. She’s just an infidel harlot. She’ll probably just get flogged.
What? And ruin his golf game? You must be crazy to think this is more important.
“Obama is AWOL as usual!”
AWOL????? I thought it Obama that was having the guy executed! YOu mean that this is not happening in the U.S.???
Yep he and Moochelle have to get ready for yet another bang up Wednesday Night at the WH parteeeee....costing us peons $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
No he isn’t. If you recall in Islam it is ok to lie like a rug if it advances Islam and the goals of Sharia.
And so are ALL of our congress critters.
Not a peep from them.
Where is Obama? Golfing.
Just sent the following to DRUDGE.
Pastor again refuses to recant as pressure builds on Iran to halt execution
Iran is under increasing pressure from leaders around the world to halt the execution of Iranian pastor Yousef Nadarkhani, who on Wednesday refused for the fourth and final time to recant his faith and could be executed at any time.
In the U.S., Speaker of the House John Boehner released a statement urging Iran to spare the pastor’s life and release him. Overseas, British Foreign Secretary William Hague also called on Iran to overturn the sentence.
Observers say external pressure could be critical in preventing the Iranian government from performing its first apostasy execution since 1990.
Arrested in 2009, Nadarkhani was told by an Iranian court this year that he would be executed unless he converted to Islam. The court gave him four chances to recant Christianity, and he refused to do so on four consecutive days this week, the final being Wednesday,...
It’s on Fox News - perhaps Drudge will have the guts to post it if he sees it on Fox first....
