According to the Census Bureau, the problem with the Census data on same-sex couples was due to “data capture errors” that were caused by the confusing layout on the 2010 Census forms--“the matrix format”--where entering a person’s sex often did not accurately reflect that person’s gender.

So, uh... what are you trying to say?

If two men who are friends happen to also be roommates, are they recorded in cencus data as "unmarried partners"?

Well, I don’t approve of same-sex sex or combinations BUT what the heck business is it of the Federal Government’s to intrude into the private lives of citizens???

I thought that was what they were complaining about conservatives wanting to do? And here Obama does the very same thing on a massive scale.

The ONLY thing we should give the Census is our presence and a few other non-intrusive pieces of information.

I've never had to fill out a box for gender. However the boxes were laid out, this seems a rather strange conclusion to come to.

Gee. I would say that "SEX" = "GENDER" 100% of the time.

In what damned reality is THAT dumb ass statement THEY made true, that sex and gender are not inextricably linked? Are they just bending definitions to mean whatever they want?

Are they doing some kind of liberal crap like "Gender means whoever assumes the 'masculine' or 'feminine' role"?

This makes my blood boil, and should make all of us who look darkly on a politicized (HIGHLY POLITICIZED) Census Bureau realize exactly what a department like that can cause.

I’ve said this for a long time - if there’s another 1776 style “change” in America, the entire government needs to be purged and the Constitution reset to Base + 10 (involuntary slavery is inherently immoral and unconstitutional).

Eliminate all federal offices and agencies, and start over. No one that has been a “government employee” for more than 10 years is allowed to apply for any position after the reset.
