"Personally I think this is an attempt to drive conservative Americans out of the armed forces. You know, the ones who understand that their duty does not include targeting the American population."

I think you are correct. If there is a second Obama term, he will need a military he can count on to crush domestic opposition.

“he will need a military he can count on to crush domestic opposition.”

There arent enough of them. The active army is about 600,000,, about 500k reserves. They are outnumbered 200 to one by US gun owners. Even if you pulled them home from everywhere on earth. Then try to get a lot of them to fire on their own families.
Then realize,, when they are overseas, they have a huge advantage in logistics. Not so much here. What happens when the local Army commander gets a letter with photos of his children walking into a school. The predator factory, the missile factory, the F-16 pilots live in town and are well known,,etc etc.
Our military is simply not designed to fight on TOP of its logistical tail.
What happens when conservative heavy formations like Marines and rangers line up against a Treasonous military? Remember the underground SF newspaper “the resister”?

A scenario of a treasonous military attacking Americans, in support of a budding Obama dictatorship, is a story of how they are defeated on a strange new battlefield like nothing they have ever experienced. And wars of that style are nasty beyond belief. Hope it never comes to America.

If it does, i think significant if not overpowering elements of our forces will side with the real Americans.
A scenario in which a disloyal
