I can definitely appreciate that position, for if you can change the constitution in any way whatsoever, you can also change it in all ways possible.

The Constitution can be changed, through the Amendment process.

“The establishment floats candidates to preempt the rise of conservative ones in the race.”

You know, you might have a point there. You have helped me reach a decision I wasn’t exactly sure I could reach. I am a Palin supporter 100% now.

The Republican Establishment does NOT want a true conservative candidate.

Good posting and an interesting read of the Rush talk.

Rubio, and Jindal, are both ineligble because their parents were not US citizens at the time of their births. ....I think both of the guys are very good for the Conservative portion of the GOP!

Just because Obama has gotten away with the scam on America does not mean it’s okay to ignore the Constitutional requirements relating to a President being a Natural Born Citizen; ie. born in the US or territories and having both parents of US citizenship.

Sorry, but the whole Rubio is eligible falls apart on this line-

His parents were resident aliens when he was born in 1971, seeking and soon to receive their status as naturalized U.S. citizens.

Like the parents of Wong Kim Ark, Rubio's parents were resident aliens at the time of his birth.

This would make Rubio a native born citizen, not a natural born one.

Had he been born after they were naturalized, it would be a different story.

Since your reply is to post @1, I assume you haven't read post #11.
I refer you to post #11 in response to your statement that Rubio's parents were not US Citizens at the time of their birth, and "is ineligible."
Please notice the part that says
Interesting, isn't it.

This was in the St. Pete Times...concerning Rubio’s recent visit to Libya. Believe it or not, the Times, the liberal rag, brings up whether Rubio is a natural born citizen. They’ve never ever questioned Obama’s bc issues, or the fact that one of his parents weren’t citizens, but they bring up the talking point of Rubio’s citizen qualifications. It’d be funny, if it wasn’t so sad.

I have some media experience, I admire El Rushbo and heck I can win people over in my two workplaces.

I’m available for an audition anytime, too.

You notice they DON'T say whether he is or is not a natural born citizen, but that
Funny, how they refuse to source the original law, that makes it clear that he is a natural born Citizen.

Why not Rubio? Hmmm, a freshman senator with no executive experience who’s big positives are his public speaking and his ethnicity. What could possibly go wrong?

If you noticed the photo in the article of Ronald Reagan, it linked to an article you might like. Just click on it.
I've read it, but I still won't vote for a RINO.
Let the RINOs compromise toward the conservatives for a change, or else lose.
I don't vote for RINOs any more.
I refer you back to post #1.

Gee Rush, maybe because Rubio isn't ELIGIBLE.

Neither of his parents were US Citizens when he was born. Which kinda goes against that Constitution thingy of ours.

And I don't give a rat's patoot about Obama scamming the system. We are NOT the RATS - period, end.

That any Alien being a free white person, who shall have resided within the limits and under the jurisdiction of the United States for the term of two years

Until they BECOME citizens, they are not 'subject to the jurisdiction of the United States'.

It's why they're considered resident ALIENS...because they are 'alien' to US jurisdiction.

-----

"Every Person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons."
Senator Jacob Howard, co-author of the citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment, 1866

U.S. v. Anthony 24 Fed. 829 (1873)
"The term resident and citizen of the United States is distinguished from a Citizen of one of the several states, in that the former is a special class of citizen created by Congress."

-------

A 'created' citizen, cannot, by it's inherent definition be a natural born one, because natural-borns are created by Nature, not by man.
