(CNN) -- Tuesday's CNN.com story about transgender children and their families shed light on an emotional topic and provoked strong response.
"Transgender kids: Painful quest to be who they are" centered on identity, gender, health, parenting and child development. It's not unusual for a popular story on CNN.com to have hundreds or thousands of responses, but the overwhelmingly negative tone of Tuesday's comments raised the question about the root of the hostility. What exactly provoked such harsh opinions?

Notice the use of language to blur the line between a person born with a disorder and someone who consciously chooses to mutilate themselves. Lose the battle for language and lose the culture war - similar to the problem the U.S. has with the seeming inability of the government to identify radical Islamists as a military enemy.
yea but the problem, is that these two women are not hurting themselves they’re having this little boy injected so as not to have the boy go through male puberty and have been bringing him up as a girl.
This is a classic case of the child needing to he taken away from these nuts.
These two freaks then should be jailed for child abuse.
and this goes to show as another story did last week that homosexuals are not in their right mind and should not be able to get a hold of kids
Clueless! When a suicidal child wants to be who he is by killing himself, responsible adults don’t support and assist in the suicide. When an addicted child wants to be who she is by injecting heroin into her veins, a responsible adult doesn’t escort her to her dealer and then help to hold the needle steady. Yet when mentally disturbed children want to mutilate their bodies, these journalists don’t understand why a story supportive of these unhealthy desires draws hostility.
The harsh opinions come from the fact that decent parents see our duty to our kids as including guidance and not just unthinking “support”. Children need adults in their lives, and liberals have abandoned (or never accepted) their responsibility to act as adults.
This is obviously a social disease, brought on by our twisted culture. As old Bob Grant used to say, "It's sick out there and getting sicker." And it is.
CNN did nto even tell the whole story but have you noticed how many of these stories are now coming out about homosexuals raising kids?
Last week a woman has a child, she then said she was a man, had her boy say Daddy, then raised the boy as a girl.
Then send the poor kid off to school and tells the school the boy should use the girls bathroom as he is a girl.
Does that make any sense?
It is time for these freaks to seek mental help, none of this “well I know one they’re nice I have no problem with them”

Craziest part of your statement which is a true statement,is that we have ratios of like 5 people attempting to tell 95 how they should react and behave. Of that 95 its pretty split between those opposed to being told how to think and those who don’t care if they’re told.

There was a report out yesterday saying the census lied about how many homosexuals and so called couples there were in America.
They added the numbers to make it look like there are more homosexuals than there is.
All of this homosexuality agenda, cross dressing, sex with kids etc has to stop.
No more encouragement from Hollywood, press etc . Telling these people it is normal for a man to dress as a woman to be now a lesbian is certainly a mental problem

I haven’t seen any stories about woman-trapped-in-man’s-body originating from Ethiopia and Somalia lately, have you? It seems that a daily struggle for survival tends to focus the mind and doesn’t leave room for flights of fantasy.
Maybe it’s the recognition that repackaging insanity does not serve a society’s best interests. And maybe it’s rebellion at the elitist notion that common folk are so stupid they’ll believe that little boys in dresses are normal.
In other words, maybe it’s a gross disconnect between the perverted salons of the self-appointed cultural trendsetters and the living rooms of people who work for their money.

I understand what you’re saying but the percentage of elitists is much greater than that sub group.
