The Galvez (Louisiana) Middle School Political Survey Imbroglio

They’re having a relatively large-scale fight down in Ascension Parish this week thanks to a lefty political survey a teacher at Galvez Middle School gave to seventh-graders.

WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge has the story…

Their social studies teacher prefaced a lesson on political parties with a survey that asked: Are you a Republican or Democrat.

“In my opinion the answers were highly skewed in order to promote one party over another,” said Terry Stehlik, who’s child was given the survey.

Ascension Parish Schools quickly sent a letter to parents to let them know the teacher made a mistake by using the “teaching tool,” and assured them it wouldn’t happen again.

“We don’t want teachers to teach partisan views to students, we want teachers to approach political views in a balanced way, so that we make sure that we’re not being critical of any political party or any political group,” said Steve Westbrook, Assistant Superintendent of Ascension Parish Schools.

You can see the survey here, but a few highlights will give a taste of what the Galvez Middle kids were subjected to.

And on, and on.

At least part of the survey came from this.

At some point, virtually everyone has had to put up with a left-wing teacher such as the one at Galvez Middle who attempted to indoctrinate those kids into a left-wing political philosophy. Usually, there’s at least one kid in the class who resists, and is made an example of. Many of the rest of the kids then go along with the indoctrination because, after all, it’s less trouble than trying to argue with the authority figure in whose hands your GPA rests.

And people wonder why Democrats do so well with voters under 30. It takes that long for life experience to trump the crap kids are taught in classes like the 7th-grade social studies class at Galvez Middle, paid for by taxpayer dollars.

What crap. I read it.

Just select all the "a" answers and you are cool and hip.

Touch any of the "b" answers and you are a violent redneck gun-toting slob polluting the Earth.

Whatever maniacal commie-lib-progressive put this in front of 7th graders needs to be FIRED in front of the class they did it to.

I have dealt with things like this in my daughters middle school. Teachers going off curriculum to impart their political wisdom. The only way to deal with it is to file a written complaint complete with documentation against the teacher. It goes in their permanent record. I have found going to the administration to be fruitless. They make promises and things stop for a while but then start up a few weeks later.

These people should have their homes burned and then be driven into the wilderness.

The upside is that they won’t last but a few days, tops.

You can accomplish the same by locking the Starbucks and Whole Foods markets. They would never go to Walmart, or any other non-union store, based on their pro-union compulsions, so with their normal food sources cut off, they will start eating each other.

It's odd, isn't it, that they complain about the closing of the "Mom 'n Pop" stores, although they, themselves haven't actually been in one in generations. Particularly when "Pop's" name is now Rajneesh Vitamamabiggun, and there is an alter to Vishnu in the back room...
