RUSH: From Judicial Watch: "In its quest to promote taxpayer-funded entitlement programs, the Obama Administration has actually rewarded one state with a $5 million bonus for its efficiency in adding food-stamp recipients to already bulging rolls. Its part of the administrations campaign to eradicate 'food insecure households' by improving access and increasing participation in the governments Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)," or food stamps. "This week Oregon officials bragged that the USDA has given the state $5 million in 'performance bonuses' for ensuring that people eligible for food benefits receive them and for its 'swift processing of applications.'
"It marks the fifth consecutive year that Oregon has been 'recognized' by the federal government for 'exceptional administration' of the entitlement program, according to the announcement posted on the states Department of Human Services web site. The state official who runs SNAP assures that her staff will 'continue working very hard to exceed expectations,'" and to sign up even more people to the food stamp program, growing government, growing dependency. It's a snap. It's easy. And, of course, the goal is to ultimately have more takers than producers so that the Democrat Party's power will never again be in doubt. And, folks, we're already at the tipping point. Also notice that Oregon has won this award five years in a row. And, by the way, I'm sure it's just a coincidence here, but Oregon has had a 60 percent increase in food stamp users since 2008, and they're being given awards by the regime. And, yet, they promise to work even harder to have an even greater impact on the 2012 elections.
By the way, the government is trying out a new pilot program to make it even easier to get food stamps. They're going to stop even bothering to interview applicants. You know why they figure? Who would lie about needing free food? They're not going to interview applicants anymore, Snerdley, because they figure nobody would ever lie about needing food. In a sane world, honestly, in a sane world states would be rewarded for lowering the food stamp rolls. In Oregon a 60 percent increase in food stamp usages in four years and they've promised to work even harder to keep getting the awards.
Meanwhile, let's go to audio sound bite number one. Back in time a few weeks, nine days, actually, September 21st at a lay Episcopal church gathering, Senior White House Advisor Valerie Jarrett.
JARRETT: He has a vision for our country, and I think his America (cough) Jobs Acts a very positive signal about what we could do instantly to create some jobs because we know thats the backbone of our community. We have to give people a livelihood so that they can provide for their families. And its a vision, I think his is a moral vision, its a vision based very deeply in values. And taking care of the least of these, and making sure that we are creating a country that is a country for everybody not just for the very very wealthy. We are working hard to lift people up out of poverty and give them a better life, and a footing, and thats what government is suppose to do.
RUSH: "That's what government's supposed to do." This is one of Obama's Chief Advisors, Valerie Jarrett, the purpose of government is to give people a livelihood so they can provide for their families. That's the role of government. To give people a livelihood. You're going to have a gamut of emotions here. You're going to get mad as heck and you're going to feel sick. This morning on Good Morning America, during the Bringing America Back segment. They actually have a segment on Good Morning America called Bringing America Back, Chris Cuomo went back to his grade school, Immaculate Conception School in Jamaica Queens, spoke to second, third and fourth graders about how the economy is affecting them. There was a Q&A, and a student named Kenine and Cuomo have this conversation.
CUOMO: What do you want to be when you grow up?
KENINE: I want to be a president.
CUOMO: So, you want to be President of the United States?
CUOMO: You think you're smart enough?
CUOMO: Why should I vote for you?
KENINE: I will, like, "axe" the rich people to give some of the money to government and "axe" the government to give to people who really need the money.
CUOMO: Oh, yeah? Okay, I represent the rich people now. I don't want to give any more money.
KENINE: Well, than you're greedy.
RUSH: That was on Good Morning America today. Chris Cuomo talking to a second, third, fourth grader, I don't know what grade she's in. (imitating kid) "I will, like, "axe" the rich people to give some of the money to government and "axe" the government to give to people who really need the money." Chris, "Well, I represent the rich people. I don't want to give any more money." "Well, then you're greedy." This is what passes for education. This is brainwashing. This is exactly what Herman Cain was talking about. Kid probably gets an A. And you know something else, the kid's parents probably wouldn't be bothered by this at all. Not at this school, this is Jamaica Queens. Do you think the kid's parents would be bothered by this? Northeast liberal, New York City, the parents probably think this is exactly right. They probably think their kid is smart as hell. The kid is learning exactly what the kid needs to learn. The rich are the problem, we need government to take money from the rich and give it to the poor people. And rich people are greedy. Everybody's learning their lesson just exactly as the left intended.
Saying the rich are greedy is the same as saying the poor are lazy!
This is how the conversation SHOULD have continued:
CUOMO: Well, OK, let me ask you another question:
CUOMO: What grades did you get last time?
KID: A’s and B’s.
CUOMO: Well I got D’s. So why not let me have some of your points, and we can both have B’s and C’s.
KID: Why should I give you my grades? I earned them.
Kanine is going to make a excellent welfare queen. She’s learning the ropes at such an early age. Amazing.
Says the “rich” politician about the greedy “poor”
Says the rich politician TO the greedy poor
I can’t blame typos that time..:)
hello guys. this is a plant. theater. kids from Queens aren’t stupid. But they will do what they’re told. Up to a point. Especially if it gets them national media attention.
...can you say what I say?
All this while my sister who is unable to work and has
been fighting for disability for four years, managed to
get food stamps, about $200 a month which was a great
help but now they have decided she didn’t need that much
and have reduced her down to $ 16 dollars a month.
Sure can’t do much with that.
Just a rehash of The Grapes of Wrath.
The kid said he would “axe” the rich people. He didn't say he'd “ask” them. Why assume he meant “ask”, when actually “axing” them would be a surer way of getting their money? He wouldn't have any problem finding volunteers with axes (free government-provided axes, that is).
What happened to “Question Authority?”
You’re not allowed to question them now they they’re in charge.
they = that.
It’s past time for the poor to start paying their fair share.
The libs love to use “greed” as a sin but they forget the same Seven Deadly Sins includes “envy”. Plus, “greed” didn’t even rate a direct mention in the Ten Commandments, but “coveting thy neighbor’s goods (envy)” is directly forbidden by God.
Public schools have long had some level of indoctrination, but since the 1990’s, it’s become quite flagrant.
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
That exchange proves Herman Cain was right when he said Democrats have brainwashed voters ( Especially Blacks). That young skull full of mush has no idea how wealth is created.
