I wonder how many kids a year get molested/raped/"seduced" by teachers. It's got to be a huge number.
It isn't a new trend. It has always happened but in the past, the "victim" wouldn't report if male because men weren't supposed to be weak victims.
I have always treated more men battered in spousal abuse but less of them fill out criminal complaints than women. I was surprised at first but talking to the older doctors, I found that it has always been that way.

When I was a senior in high school, I recall that there was an English teacher, a female, who put on a “fashion show” for some of the fellers on the football team. It was whispered in homeroom and of course, it was hinted at that more than just modeling was going on. This teacher had a coworker, my English teacher,also female, who shared some “stoned” moments with the same kids. Needless to say both “ladies” were fired. This was in 1969-70. It did not make the papers because things like this were taken care of by the school immediately and negative publicity averted. However, it is true, that most young men in those days would never had lodged criminal complaints because it was not a “manly” thing to do. Even though the victims were teenage high school students, they were after all males. What is weird today is the length of time many of these female teachers carry on with their students. My guess is that lady teachers see their predatory stance as romantic rather than lecherous. Sick all around.

It is not so hard to trick 14 year old boys who have had a decent upbringing. They don’t walk around expecting to be sexually assualted by a teacher and they are not warned about male and female perverts like girls are.
I am glad he trusted his mom to tell her. A lot of parents have attitudes of betrayal towards their sons so they don’t tell out of shame and guilt for getting tricked. It screws them up.
I know... it just seems to me that if he was expecting a cheerleader and in the dark he grabs someone who is about 100 lbs heavier than he was expecting, it would only take a second or two to think “Hm, something is wrong here.”
