McCain: Republicans should've stopped booing (McCain attacks Republicans)
Politico ^ | 2011-10-02

Posted on 10/02/2011 7:56:51 AM PDT by rabscuttle385

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Sunday the Republican presidential contenders should've stopped the crowd at a recent GOP debate from booing a gay soldier.

McCain, certainly no stranger to presidential debates, added that in the heat of the moment, candidates often have a tough time reacting.

"I do," McCain said on CBS's "Face the Nation," when asked if the candidates should've stopped the reaction. "But a lot of times, when you’re in a debate, you’re thinking about what you’re going to say, what the question is going to be. It’s hard to react sometimes. But I’m sure… I would bet that every Republican on that stage did not agree with that kind of behavior."

Has anyone thought that they weren’t booing him because he was gay, but because it was such a liberal special interest question to toss into the debate?

Well that’s what I thought it was......nary a peep about him proudly advertising his gayness but the question itself. Maybe I need a hearing aid......:(

Never has a Republican, done so much to enhance their stupidity quotient.

Two people booed the QUESTION, NOT the soldier!

What do you mean “should have stopped them”?

If there were a means to stop people from saying stupid things, you would be the first to know.

The only good thing this fool McCain ever did in his political life is to choose Sarah Palin as his running mate.

Other than that, he blows. And his wife Cindy and daughter Meghan are no prize packages, either.

Would McCain have come out and said this if his Lord and Master BH0 hadn't taken the opportunity to bash the Republicans with it?

Folks, please keep Johnny McLame foremost in your thoughts as we continue to fight for a conservative to win the nomination. "Anybody but 0bama" is not good enough.

Goodbye - Elton John from Madman across the Water

“And now that it’s all over
The birds can nest again
I’ll only snow when the sun comes out
I’ll shine only when it starts to rain

And if you want a drink
Just squeeze my hand
And wine will flow into the land
And feed my lambs

For I am a mirror
I can reflect the moon
I will write songs for you
I’ll be your silver spoon

I’m sorry I took your time
I am the poem that doesn’t rhyme
Just turn back a page
I’ll waste away, I’ll waste away
I’ll waste away, I’ll waste away
I’ll waste away, I’ll waste away ...”

McLame has succeeded in receiving his new 6 year term as a Senate clown, after showing the sheeple his "conservative conversion" so the coast is clear to become the media darling again.

No thanks to my increasingly purple turning state of AZ - I blame it on the Californians fleeing their commie fortress by the sea and coming over here. To an conservative Arizonian, even a Californian conservative seems like a lib. When I arrived in AZ in '65 it was about the deepest RED one could find - remember Goldwater?

Re: Facebook. Two words come to mind - narcissism and voyeurism. I’m on it and it does have some good aspects but in the main I find it distracting, time-consuming, and generally, a waste of time. It diverts me away from the permanent things; things like a good book, a fine sonata, a symphony, etc. I’ve never accepted the absurdity of gimcracks, gizmos, gadgets and gewgaws taking over my live. I do like to weigh in occasionally, but only occasionally; i.e., Free Republic.

It doesn’t matter. The MSM wouldn’t make a big deal out of it if a Dem debate questioner id’d themselves as a NAMBLA member and got applauded I bet.

....

Apparently one person boo’d and others told him to shut up.

In other words it was a non-event.

"...Same way as in a small town of Hua in South Vietnam; several thousands of Vietnamese were executed in one night when the city was captured by [the] Viet Cong for only two days; and American CIA could never figure out - how could [the communists] possibly know each Individual, where he lives, where to get him; and [in order that they] would be arrested in one night basically in four hours before dawn, put on a van, driven out of the city limits and shot.

The answer is very simple.  Long before communists occupy the city, there was extensive network of informers; local Vietnamese citizens who knew absolutely everything about people who are instrumental in public opinion - including Barbers and Taxi Drivers.  Everyone who was sympathetic to United States was executed.  Same thing was done under the guidance of the Soviet Embassy in Hanoi, and same thing I was doing in New Delhi. To my horror, I discovered that in the files were people who were doomed to execution.  There were names of pro-Soviet Journalists, with whom I was personally friendly."

Since when does does someone become immune from criticism because he's wearing a uniform?

If he stood up and praised Osama bin Laden, are we all expected to bow our heads, bite our tongues and accept that too?

Guess John McCain, son of a four star admiral and grandson of another four star admiral, doesn't like getting negative feedback.

The Republic has gotten itself in dire straights because of political correctness and protected subspecies. A biological term to this problem is lack of negative feedback.

Negative feedback? That is the term that is applied to neural signals that tells you where you are in the world. Case examples of failed or lacking negative feedback range from Parkinson's disease to a young child learning to walk.

Want to personally experience lack of negative feedback? Get some serious dental work and go out for a steak dinner before the Novocaine wears off. You don't know where your tongue and interior mouth are and bite down on them accordingly.

IMHO that lesson also applies to our body politic. Give me more boos and less PC so those running for high office understand where the bulk of the nation is; not just the loud, obnoxious, minority that the LMSM is pushing.

I have posted this link elsewhere, but I think it is a very important (brief - 6 or 7 minutes!) video which reminds us of the danger we are in. It is about the subversion of America’s moral fiber for over the past 50 years. Many here are familiar with many of the points made, but it is an excellent recap by a credible source.

When I saw the words of McCain quoted in the article regarding the treatment of a homosexual soldier, I knew I had to post this, because this issue is directly addressed in the video. Draw your own conclusions after viewing this, where McCain stands.

I actually watched the debate.

It was one or two people at the most, and they booed the guy after he was nearly done with his statement. So, they booed him because of what he had to say, and not because he was gay or a gay service member. But that is all it takes for left to label the entire Republican party and everyone in it.

There is just no hope for this country.

For those who watch the question asked, there is no booing when he says he's a gay soldier. The booing comes at the end of the question, clearly suggesting the question is booed not the soldier.

The booing was maybe two people in 6,000.

If I had been on stage and able to hear the boo (Santorum claims he couldn't hear it), I'd have commented. It wasn't helpful and I knew immediately it would leave a bad impression.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a set-up to make Republicans look bad.

queers are a tiny part of the population. They ingest feces during the course of what they call “sex”. Anyone that does that seems booable to me. How odd it is that the homosexuals have pushed society to the point that the discussion is about how homos feel and not what they do....
