Got to admit, I didn't even know it was happening until this weekend.
And I'm seeing tons of tweets from RockTheVote, CollegeDemocrats, etc., all the usual Dem suspects about it, but none from our side...

Yes, I’ve been wondering about this race too, like turnout numbers, reports from Pubs who voted as to how packed the voting places were, etc. Anyone from this state that knows anything, please report in.

And I'm seeing tons of tweets from RockTheVoteLOL, RockTheVote is still around? I remember when they were paired up with MTV and used to pretend to be non partisan.

I kept wondering why there were all these anti WV Governor ads on DC metro area TV stations. Now I understand. Actually they may have helped him by getting more Dem support activated. Well, we will soon know.

This article was all I found. It doesn't look good for the Republican candidate if turnout is low, though he surged up neck and neck with the Dem.

I saw a blurb on FOX(?) last night and IIRC the polls had the Dem ahead 48% to 47%.

I live in Ravenswood, WV and just got home from voting. The turnout was very light when I was there. Of course, mine is just one precinct, but I suspect that turnout to be light, somewhere in the neighborhood of 25-30%. That should help Republicans. What interest and excitement there is here is on the GOP side. But with that said, West Virginians have tended to lean conservative on national politics and Dem on state and local politics in recent years. There have been some inroads (We now have two out of the three congressmen Republican) but it is still near impossible in some parts of the state to get elected as a Republican.

That is a terrible over generalization. While many West Virginians are that way, most of us are not!

Is there unusually heavy foot traffic in the Wheeling Casino this afternoon? Signs of some Walkin’ Around Money being spread?
To: gbscott1954
Thanks for the report. Hopefully more reports will be coming in shortly, as the evening draws nigh.

Who knows:
When the polls close?
What are the best links for the real time vote count?
To: tcrlaf
Unfortunately the union leaders control enough votes to keep WV democratic. If the UWV football team would support the Republican we might have a chance.
