Bobo is going to lose, so why did Christie turn down a gift-wrapped, probably 8-year Presidency?

1. That's not a given that Bacrock will lose. It looks that way now, but it looked like Billy Klinton was going to lose in 1995. Obama doesn't have Klinton's instincts, but the MSM still loves him.

2. I'm not sure Christie wants the job. Even if he did, experience is his weakness.

3. If Christie turns Jersey around, he can run on competence in four years.

He’s not a politician because he can’t get elected! DUH! He’s been trying since 2000! Four years after the BOD asked him to resign. Lots of gaps in his resume - now a gap in his campaign. A lot like Barry. Either no work or work a bit and take off.

So exposing Perry’s record and vehemently disagreeing with it is backstabbing?

No, just lies and mis-information about his record.

Perry has been backstabbing conservatives and conservative values for 11 years.

Just more of the same.

Glad to hear that. Now explain why you continue to ignore legitimate FACTS about Perry ...say for example his ‘LIE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE’ that Gore was no radical eco when he supported him, when one Google search showed Gore on PBS NOVA years before that raving like an Earth First level lunatic?

That’s ONE. Now tell me why CONSERVATIVES should back a man willing to LIE to his potential voters when the truth is so easily discovered? That’s not ‘hate’, that’s a legit question about the trustworthiness of a candidate.

I await your answer to that SPECIFIC question. Then we’ll get to the many others you refuse to address.

It's been several hours since this was originally posted and CW has responded to other posters on this thread so I'm positive she just didn't see this one :D

In my opinion, Sarah would learn a lot being Mayor of Houston.

You know why Gov Palin is a world-known success? Because she doesn't listen to your opinion!

You still haven’t quoted him where he said he feels “entitled”.

You really are ignorant, aren’t you?

He’s 65 years old, perfectly acceptable retirement age, particularly for a man estimated to be worth $18 million.

He’s had a radio show and has been very active writing books and participating in politics and the Tea Party since resigning from Godfather’s.

He continues to serve on a variety of Boards of Directors.

All this nonsense is either 1) Because he’s black; or 2) He’s not Sarah Palin. Either way, it’s BS.

Ask yourself why presidential candidates are asked to express their legislative policy preferences (and are selected on that basis - plus being "clean and attractive"), when presidents are not the primary force for setting public policy; e.g., tax, spend, make war, regulate value of money, public education, energy policy, and on and on and on.

Bully pulpit. Wannabe prime minister in chief. These days, congress is usually a group of yesmen for their leader. What Obama wants, Pelosi and Reid give. The other thing that presidents have is the veto pen and the power to appoint cabinet members and judges. Judges are the biggest power.

That aside, I agree with Congress being just as important. Luckily I actually have a good congressman in Tim Walberg. However, my senators are two of the worse in the entire country, and I'll be working to fire one of them this year.

No matter how it happened, it reduced the general appeal of the tea party.

It's certainly reduced my view of the Tea Party.

I'll start with this one - what a dumb*ss comment - he's not Sarah Palin - it's obviously just a little add on for lack of anything else to add to your MAIN response which is.....

Because he’s black;

Don't start that liberal race card tactic with me. As much as I'm not surprised - you just exposed yourself blatantly. And it's tough if you think vetting someone is NONSENSE and BS. You just want him to walk right through - just because.... Like I said 'entitled' - I knew you would confirm that eventually. Cain has NO experience and he's no politician because he couldn't get elected! He's done and you are done - I'm dismissing you and your pathetic race card tactic.

-- Judges are the biggest power. --

Judges and the executive fill a power vacuum that Congress deliberately maintains.

Which of the three has the most power is a situation dependent inquiry. Sometimes the judges are the heavyweight; other times the executive; and occasionally, Congress.

At any rate, whether my sense of reality is correct or not, I am relatively indifferent as to which of the elitist picks attains the presidency. A good part of me hopes the federal government collapses TODAY, so the people can get back to relying almost entirely on state and local sources of political and police power.

I want to know what happens if Ibama gets re-elected..???

Would he have to cheat heavily to get re-elected in the

first place?

I’m just asking.

Ibama is wrapped in scandals that are slowly building steam.

How many more possible seats could the Repubs pick up?

Enough, to make Ibama nearly powerless?

What is the worst he could do?

He could appoint more liberal judges..thats not good.

He can’t even get his stupid “jobs” bill passed.

If Palin doesn’t get in then Romney will indeed be the nominee.

I suggest you get off Perry’s failed campaign and start trying to convince Palin to get in so we can stop Romney.

Nice straw man.

You’re not talking about “vetting” him; you’re talking about that he feels “entitled” to the Presidency just like that other Black guy, Barack Obama.

You set up your cute little straw men to knock them down but you haven’t answered. When did he even intimate he feels “entitled” to the Presidency?

If it’s not one of the two issues I posed, what is it? I predict *crickets*.

I find it hilarious that somebody from Minnesota, the state that gave the nation Al Franken in the Senate, thinks they can judge the conservative credentials of a Texas governor now in his third term.

This entire argument about Perry’s conservative credentials is mundane and elementary, and at this point I can just start disregarding posters like you who obviously have a very loose grasp on reality, and what it takes to get elected to 3 terms in Texas (without quitting, btw).
