A lefty wouldn’t bother to research it. They’d just run with it. Glad to hear Clint is still alive and working. Gran Torino was a bonus I didn’t expect, but I fear we’ve seen the last of Eastwood on screen.

I was sold the first time I saw the trailer—Get off my lawn! I couldn’t believe it. Clint did it again! I’ve been a fan of his since I was a boy. Love his sarcasm and coolness.

Something I learned about him recently is that he’s introverted and a musician. His first job in Hollywood was digging swimming pools the old fashioned way.

Seems like an appropriate turnabout. Hoover probably had the FBI investigate Eastwood’s sexuality too.

First time I ever saw him was when I was six or seven years old in “Paint Your Wagon”, an old musical about the California Gold Rush days.

As far as I know, it’s the only musical he was ever in, and the only one where he sang. Worth watching just for that.

True, only J. edgar just wanted to know, if Clint swings both ways.

I don’t know if J. Edgar Hoover was gay or not. I really dont care.

I do know he was a total crackpot. He was also vile, corrupt and dishonest.

There's a reason for that. :-))

Seriously, Paint Your Wagon is not a great movie musical, but it is worth watching, not just for seeing Eastwood in one, but also for its off the wall plot and humor.

Yeah, I think the things the FBI said about the Kennedys (all of them), MLK, the Soviets and their spies and the KKK were all terrible, “vile, corrupt and dishonest”.

I fear we’ve seen the last of Eastwood on screen.

He's prepping a new movie in which he'll star. It's a GRAN TORINO like character in a baseball setting.

I fell asleep after Lee Marvin’s song. My parents took us kids to see it at the drive-in. I may have been seven or so.

Oh yeah? That’s great news. May he live to be 100 and keep working the whole time!

He’s really the last (or one of the last) of a breed of screen stars we probably won’t see again.

OH, did everybody know that Clint Eastwood was on a old timey TV cowboy show called Rawhide??? I watched it some this summer on ME TV which you get with a antenna, before cable got hooked up, and it was really pretty good. They even had the I Dream of Jeannie person on it.

There's one song in that movie that resounds perfectly with this day and age. Paraphrasing, because I'm going to be too busy to look it up right now...

They civilize left, they civilize right
Until nothing is left, and nothing is right
They civilize freedom, til no one is free
That's why I left before they civilized me...

Ain't that the truth?!
